- - years ago the country once known as north america underwent the most tragic war in human history. the land was completely destroyed, leaving over half of the nation helpless. but out of the ashes a new country - Panem - arose. for years Panem functioned under the law of the Capitol, until another uprising sent the country into the Dark Days. control was swiftly regained by the Capitol, but the country's actions would not go unpunished.
- In penance for their uprising 24 children, a male and female from each district between the ages of twelve and eighteen are reaped each year from the twelve districts of Panem to compete in a competition to the death. These games are known as the Hunger Games. There is only one victor.
- The others shall perish for their country.

I mean obviously this is the hunger games.
try to keep your grammatical errors to a bare minimum
post at least once a week
i don't care about genders
violence is expected - this isn't a romantic plot.
we are not starting at the reaping. but the last day of training
forms just need to include basic information
keep an eye for the districts that have been reserved, please.

The arena is built on a forest. The arena is not a circle, but a square, level and flat at all angles. The temperatures drop below freezing at night, making it difficult to last the night if exposed. Snow and ice coat the rivers, making it almost impossible to tell whether or not one is on ground, or frozen water. At random times the ice sheets snap, sucking in whatever is atop it violently. Dangers include, but are not limited to: giant bear like dogs, ginormous birds, poisonous prey animals, breaking ice, falling trees, avalanches, sudden temperature drops, frozen water.

Ildar Kristinsson - Male Tribute - Twenty Two - Lumber Jack

Raised by a single mother, Ildar is the eldest of four children and the only boy in his family, consisting of his Grandfather and his two cousins as well. The family have lived in the run down family cabin in District Seven for generations, all family members work, mainly in logging and carpentry.
Ildar was put to work as a lumber jack at the age of eleven, he had been working within the paper making section up until that point. Over the years he has watched friends and family be entered into the games and every year gets an inked reminder on his body, as well as his own personal wants in tattoo form.
Due to his appearance he is often targeted by Peacekeepers and he has suffered many a punishment by them, whether it be by flogging or just occasional beatings. He always seems to have cuts and bruises on him somewhere.
Because of this prominent persecution, Idlar often lashes out in fits of anger from his otherwise normal state of quiet and caring self. He sees himself as a provider and will do what it takes to protect those he deems in need of protecting.
From his working background, Idlar is well trained in handling many items that could be classed as weapons as well as having a rather healthy physique from the constant climbing and removal of heavy objects. He has pale, alabaster skin with black hair, often kept shaven to reduce irritation from his work helmet, but at odd times he grows it and shaves the sides. His eyes are almost amber in colour, although he has some cloudiness in his left eye from a Peacekeeper attack.
Idlar has been mentally training himself for the games ever since he was a child, his preferred weapon is either mace or axe and is more skilled in up close combat. He also excels in foraging and the lunar cycle is a hobby of his.

she's always been quiet.
for a long time Aspen Grey has known nothing but the life of a lumber jack.
she's always in the woods, chop-chop-chopping away at the trees the capit-
ol supposedly needs to survive. she never complains, only does her work t-
o satisfy the needs of whoever it is she's trying to please. she may seem s-
hy and reserved: silent as a mouse - but don't let that fool you.
Inside of that quiet body is a calculating mind. She's always watching. Waiti-
ng for the oppurtunity to strike. she's clever and able bodied: strong from t-
he countless hours spent with an axe. she can throw a knife like nobodies b-
usiness. though quiet and seemingly cool, aspen isn't always the kind heart-
ed young lady she appears to be.

she's known for her kind hands, and gentle heart. she's known for her quick, quiet mind. she's known for her charisma. sienna normandy is known for a lot of things in district ten, mainly for her skill with the animals under her care. even the most unruly cattle could be tamed under sienna's nurturing hands. she became skilled with observation, calculating an animals next action the difference between life and death in district ten. one moment a calm herd, the next a bull's horns through you're stomach. it happened frequently enough. she was brave, steady, and thoughtful. she was respected and collected, and though a kind girl, had plenty of secrets. she was hidden, her past a secret, those who knew were long gone. she suffered quietly however, and did her job. she made friends easily and well, but no one really knew her. she liked it that way, her only connection to the animals. had she not been reaped, she would have excelled in district ten. the hunger games though? some of the people cried in her district when her name was called. they were sure they were losing one of their most promising students. there was hope for her though. could she make it as her district hoped?

Vera is a morbid oddball alright. She's clever and a very fast learner, aiming always to please with perfect results. Yet in her opinion she's never good enough. She suffers from a perfection complex and often gets frustrated with herself. She's very strange socially, you never know what she's gonna say or do. Being unpredictable has made her a dangerous girl to deal with. It's best to take her on with caution and use her ignorance to your benefits. As a teammate she's a double-edge sword. She can really help you out or get you killed. She does believe in keeping her end of the bargain though. And in truth this girl is actually a little lonely.
As a kid she was told all about the Hunger Games and her father told her that one day she would be in one and make District 2 proud. Since then she has undergone dramatic training, both brutal to the body and mind. She never had time to do anything else, never hung out with friends or even got to know the place she lived. She just trained day in and day out. Vera's family is very small, it only contains her father, which may be the reason she so desperately wants him to be proud and happy. Though training may be tough, everything else in her life has generally been easy and pleasant. People tend to underestimate her because of her size, but she quickly proves those people wrong with her scary speed and precision. She may be smart, but due to her limited interaction with the world she is ignorant. She's never had a friend and her ignorance made her believe that nothing was wrong with her life. To her it was normal to train hard everyday and then take a couple days off to sleep and enjoy time in her room, reading books her district was so privileged to have. Oh, what did she train mainly in? Dual wielding. She prefers daggers, but she can dual wield just about most weapons. Though the heavier the weapon, the more unbalanced she is. The lack of interaction has made Vera's social skills to become very poor and for her mind to develop in a messed up way due to lack of guidance. At the end of the day she doesn't care about that, she just wants to be perfect like her father has always wanted. She felt no fear as she volunteered herself.
