⇝ the wolf of the system ⇜
Chiasa Nakamura is the heiress of the Nakamura family organization of vampire hunters. Her first name, Chiasa, means "one thousand mornings", though she prefers to go by the nickname Chi; the last name, Nakamura, translates roughly into "middle village". The age of nineteen, Chiasa was born to Daichi and Ai Nakamura on the twenty-first day of December - an only child. Blessed with the appearance and frame of her mother, Chiasa is short in height and slender in build with long golden hair  that is silky to the touch, and eyes as blue as the clearest ocean. Her skin is the color of alabaster, soft for the most part, but bearing a few scars and almost always plagued with some sort of scrape and touch. Due to her build, Chiasa relies heavily upon agility and stealth rather than a vast amount of brute strength. Despite the influence her mother had upon her daughter's appearance, Chiasa's personality more closely resembles her father's. Spirited and passionate, Chiasa has the confidence of someone who has been fighting vampires for years. She has a bit of a silver tongue and a quick wit to her, making her an appropriate match for anyone looking for sarcastic banter. Equally quick on her feet, Chiasa can improvise at a moment's notice, a learned trait that has been worked on and honed. She has a surprisingly thoughtful and kind side that remains locked away for the most part, unneeded in the field of hunting vampires. Chiasa has a soft spot for animals and young children, though she honestly doesn't know what to do with one since she was, again, an only child. Chiasa tries hard to think with her head, but more often than not her heart gets in the way and instead of following logic, runs with her instincts instead. Concerning Chiasa's past, her history is one riddled with memories of her father leaving for days to hunt vampires, of him coming back covered in blood both his own and not, as well as the faint memories of her mother's warm smile. Chiasa's mother, Ai, passed away when Chi was seven due to a serious illness that targeted her lungs. At the age of twelve, her father also succumbed to death by the injuries he had sustained in a fight against vampires. This left the organization completely to Chi, who gets frequent help from the family butler, Silas. And finally, like most vampire hunters, Chi has her preferred weapon. Chiasa uses a  gun with bullets blessed by a priest, as well as a katana whose blade was also blessed by a priest. These weapons are normally always on her. Chiasa also has a large black dog of unknown breed, though it resembles a long-haired German Shepherd, which remains by her side often.

Tadaki.Hisashi; Vampire
one x one - queen bee and red J10B13e
While to most he goes by Tadaki, Or Mr.H, his most common companion is readily allowed to call him Sashi- which is a nickname stemming from the last name he gave himself upon waking up again, Hisashi. Tadaki Hisashi roughly translates to; Tadaki ( an egotistical and idealistic man ), which is really nothing like him at all in a wide sense, and Hisashi ( I will never leave your side). The Hisashi factor was something that he automatically did out of sheer need when he'd been woken again. If he had a surname before this it is not in the records, nor the scrolls. It is also unknown how old he is, and he refuses to tell anyone, even those closest and most trusted. However, it is rumored that he is over a hundred thousand years old- though, of course, that is simply a rumor. Though, it was honestly unlikely Tadaki himself would remember his birthday. The days all blurred together when he never aged from his young man self. However, his personality, on the other hand, has changed with his age tremendously. From giggly to hissy, it could all change in a second, depending on your stature to him. Just like his hair color- he's fond of changing it to strange and exotic colors, his favorite being soft purple, black, and blonde. His naturally brown hair became boring to him long ago. As for other areas of his self reflection, he's quite fond of keeping up his physical stature- which for him, is not hard in the slightest because of the vampire blood.. even if he is addicted to human food. Also, his clothes. They are never anything ratty, no matter what the case. He always dresses very nice, even casual wear is  a nice long sleeve shirt - commonly black - and dark wash jeans.
Unlike everything else though, Tadaki's history is not something that is easy to explain. He's blocked half of it out himself. There are some things he does in fact like though, like most of his fights- they remind him how to move when fighting for his life -and his family members and loved ones- for they remind him how to care when he becomes to abrasive. Though he could conjure up the memories from back and back if you asked him, nicely, to. However, most times he chooses to know only his master girl, for she saved him, even if unintentionally.

Favorite Weapon: Katana / Sword / Gripless Blade. He is also very skilled in hand to hand combat.
Eye Colors: ( When Not Hungry ) Deep Golden to Bright Brown ( When Hungry ) They turn a darker and deep red as time without feeding draws on.

Her father was dead, gone forever, following after Chiasa's mother who had left this world a few years after Chiasa had been born due to a serious illness. Now, with the vampire business her father had once owned resting in her twelve-year-old hands, Chi was running from her crazed uncle, who apparently had wanted the company - and the money - for himself. The fact that his younger brother had left it to Chi was enough to drive her uncle mad, because now he chased her through the huge mansion. Down corridors and hallways, in and out of vast rooms, all over the house. Chiasa couldn't run much longer, and her uncle, who had obviously been drinking a lot, was starting to gain on her. It was then that Chiasa remembered the last words spoken to her by her father:
"If you ever find yourself in grave peril, if you're left without a means to save yourself, Chiasa, run to the dungeon. There you'll find your salvation."
Of course, this made no sense and even now Chi had now idea what it really meant or what it was, but she was going to find out. If this thing could save her from her crazed uncle, Chi would do whatever it took. So, with the shouts and yells of her uncle chasing after her, Chiasa ran as hard as she could to the deep basement under the vast house. Past the ordinary stuff a basement would hold, past the many metal boxes, and straight to the dungeon. Running down the rows of cells, Chiasa didn't stop till she was at the largest cell. Seeing a vague shape in the shadows, Chi opened the door hurriedly, hearing her uncle behind her, and entered the dark cell.
What she found there, made Chiasa stop in her tracks. A corpse. That was it. How would this help her against her uncle who wanted her dead? It was then that Chiasa could feel the burning in her legs, the stinging in the lining of her lungs from all the running. She was going to die because her father had left her with a corpse to defend herself with. This was ridiculous. Surely this couldn't be right! Had she missed something in one of the other dungeon cells? No, she'd made sure to look into each one as she ran by, just in case; there hadn't been a single thing in any of them. This was the only one that held anything. Maybe there was a secret hatch or door in one of the other cells...
Her frantic, frightened thoughts had kept Chiasa from hearing the footsteps slow as they headed down the corridor of the dungeon. But Chi did hear the click of a gun and the maniacal laugh of her uncle as he pulled the trigger. But he didn't kill her. Whether it was the alcohol in his system, messing with his sight, or the fact that Chi had managed to move out of the way, she didn't know. But the bullet missed her heart and instead shot through her upper arm.
Crying out in pain, Chiasa didn't see her blood splatter across the vampire as she collapsed to the ground, clutching her wounded arm.
This is it, she thought sadly, scared out of her mind. I can't run anywhere; I'm going to die and be with Father and Mother again. She wanted to live, she wanted to keep going, but how could she? Chi was completely trapped into the cell by her uncle, with nothing but a corpse and a bloody arm.

Tadaki couldn't remember much anymore of his body or memories. The blackness of death having been strung over him a good many years, his soul litterally beginning to slowly break apart at the seems. The tether of life slowly unwinding itself permenantly from his body never to be put back quite the same way ever again. Like a jacket caught on something sharp to where it created a latch in previously perfect cloth, notching it unfashionably; this particular death felt like he was falling through clear black water that rushed past his ears in great, lulling torrents. if it could be called ffeeling emotions, vampires were known to be cruel and emotionless, especially in the day and age that Tadaki himself had been turned. It seemed to him that this tortorus and seemingly never ending black void was going to go on forever this time.Unlike all of the others when he had woken in due time.  Until a breeze caught him.
Or was it a breeze? No. It couldn't have been. That smell it had drug over to him though smelled increasingly familiar to the textured warrior's highly tuned sense of smell. That smell he smelt was blood. Good, feverishly good, human blood. Now the water that had carried him peacefully for what seemed like a century turned blood red and offered no relief or potty to him for being where he was. It just screamed and yelled at him as it flew past his ears, demanding his complete and utter attention.
Now the vampire had become coherent, feeling the sizzle of blood across his skin as it absorbed into his feverishly malnorished body. It only took extreme measures like this when he was extreme peril or simply desperate for need of fuel. It had been so long it felt strange to him to be starving again. It was an icky screching feeling that demanded to be felt. He would have described it as it was almost a feeling like it was trying to get him to wake up.

"No." He growled in a deep bellow as he shot up into a sitting position, more like he was waking up from some sort of nightmare rather than a casket. A casket.
Like that, every single memory, thought, and emotion that had been ground into him before was back and better than ever. And surprise hit him like a brick.
It was all perfectly clear now, he could remember what the man said. Whomever wakes you, needs you. Protect them. So whoever it was that needed him, he was eternally greatful to the one who had saved him. He would stay forever. He knew that no one unwelcome and dangerous could possibly know him.
It came together enough that he sat up straight, his body tightening and then pulling himself into a low crouch on the concrete slab they had lain him on.

Without even thinking, he became a robot, his body just strong enough at this point to drop off the edge of the tall stone where he had been lying to the floor. His gaze locked onto the crazed man, anger naturally more susceptible to vampires than fear.
He almost simply ran, not wanting to fight the human when he was so gangly and unpropitious. It wouldn't be deadly to him, but he's likely get injured at least somewhat.
But then he heard a softly quivering breath, shivering desperately with wild fear and whimpering pain. "What is wrong?" He asked her automatically, looking back at her slightly as his body stiffened into a low crouch, protecting her without thought. She was tiny, too small to be any good to eat anyways- more or less a threat. But that man was plenty large enough and he smelled of alcohol so he'd be an easy kill. "Stay." He ordered softly, not bothering with waiting for her response to any of his questions, just launched his body toward the man, his body slinging the other down in a simple and precise round house kick.

one x one - queen bee and red Empty chiasa;; post two

Post  red; Thu Dec 04, 2014 6:17 pm

Chiasa couldn't move anymore. Her legs hurt and her lungs burned, her heart still pounding in her chest as fear took over her. All the adrenaline her body had kept reserved up until now was completely spent - all gone. She'd been running and hiding throughout the large estate, trying desperately to get away from her uncle. Oh how she wished that her family's butler, Silas, was back. He had left three days ago to take care of the business matters that concerned handing over the Nakamura estate and business to Chiasa. Since she was too young to do it herself, Silas had volunteered to take care of, leaving Chiasa in the care of her uncle until he returned. But that had been a big mistake. How Chiasa's body quivered, her shoulders shook as tears streamed down her face. She didn't want to die, but there was no where else left to run. Her uncle had her cornered with a gun in his hand, and the only thing her father had left her, that supposed salvation he had told her of, was nothing more than a corpse. Why was that there anyway? Chiasa had no time to dwell on that thought, but it had, fleetingly, gone through her mind for a second's time. It made no sense for her father to keep such a thing in their dungeon. In fact, Chiasa hadn't even known about the dungeon for most of life. She had found it by accident three years ago, and so her father had shown her around it a bit. Perhaps he had been anticipating that, so that, should the time come, Chiasa could navigate her way through it without help. But, again, none of that mattered now. Her life was drawing to a close and the only thing Chiasa could do about was hide up against the wall and wait for her uncle to shoot the bullet that would end her life. Her arm still hurt terribly from the bullet that had pierced it, and her hand had wrapped around the wound, hoping the pressure would serve to not only stop the bleeding, but alleviate the pain as well.
What kind of uncle did this? Chiasa's uncle, Arata, had always been so kind to her! She could remember him giving her presents for her birthday and Christmas, and bringing back foreign candies from his many travels. He had been gentle and nice to his only niece, so why had he changed so drastically in just a few hours' time? Not only had Arata been driven crazy by the need for power, the need to own the Nakamura family business, but the large amount of alcohol he had consumed had also served to sully his mind further. She wished, oh how she wished, that he would come around to being his old self again. Chiasa had trusted him, thinking that family should never turn on family in this way. But it seemed that didn't reign true for every family. Now that her parents were gone, Chiasa was the only person standing between her uncle and the power he wanted. So he would kill her, and all she could do was wait for it.

Only it never happened. The corpse behind her moved, coming to life with a growl as he sat up. Chiasa's already widened eyes looked over, suspecting to see a new enemy come to kill her. How could this be? The corpse was dead before... Again she wondered what her father had done to accomplish such a thing, and even more as to what she was going to do now. Would this now-alive corpse attempt to kill her as well? Would her uncle have no need to be bothered with pulling the trigger to his gun? When the living corpse - Chi had quickly deduced that it had to be a vampire, as no other creature could do such a thing - asked her what was wrong, the only thing Chi could do in response was to glance towards her uncle. Speaking of which, Arata now stood completely surprised and dumbfounded, his hand which held the gun lowering a bit as he too tried to figure out what was going on. But before anything could be said, the vampire had managed to send Arata to the ground with a drunken cry of pain.
Chiasa stared at the vampire and then at her uncle, who was now crumpled on the floor. But he didn't stay there. No, Arata, with a growl of anger, slowly started to sit up, trying to aim his gun at the vampire. "You bastard!" He shouted, firing a shot towards the vampire. His aim was ruined by the alcohol in his system, but even so Chiasa gasped, finding herself hoping that her uncle wouldn't hurt the vampire who was trying to save her.
Chiasa, no longer fearing for herself but for the well-being of the vampire, steadied herself against the wall. "Don't hurt him, uncle!" She cried, even though she knew it meant nothing, as her uncle would again attempt to get rid of the vampire.

He watched the man, eyeing him for a moment to see if he would stay down do that he could see if she was okay. To see if she was going to bleed out of was injured in any other way other than the obvious flesh wound that was still gushing and quite tempting. His control was beyond measure or comparison to any other vampire though. So there was nothing for her to fear, he could live off of the thing dropped in front of him that was a threat to the safety of her and himself. A rapid fire pop, pop caught his attention. He'd seen the gun being raised but didn't think the drunkard was coherent enough to visualize the vampire as really a person. More or less a threat. It was alright though, for it was more than easy to flex out of the way of the bullet, having visualized its trajectory before the assailant himself even had. It however caught his upper arm, right across the shoulder leaving a light flesh wound that was more akin to a burn than to a bullet. "Shut up, asshole." He hissed darkly, coming forward again to snap the hand of the man who held the gun down, sending the gun skattering away across the floor with no detonation in particulatr. "Back down." Tadaki murmured harshly under his breath, shoving his ankle down into the throat of the man, holding him down.
A tiny second later he figured there would be no use trying to get him to co operate so he just shoved his heel down quickly before anything else could happen- effectively snapping the humans neck and abandoning the meal opportunity for quick closure of the situation without anymore injures to either of them.
Tadaki was quite confident in his work and immediately left the deceased body to get her. To just see if she was alright. He crouched down again in front of her this time, reaching this time straight for her arm, pulling it forward. He pressed his finger on the wound, uncaring of her feelings. He then found the bullet with a quick squeeze and pulled it out. Without thinking his ratty shirt came off, wrapping around her arm to keep pressure there. He then grabbed ahold of her chin and brought it up so he could get a good look at her. "Aside from the arm what is wrong with you?" He asked, basically emotionless, but caring enough that he only gently held her there.

one x one - queen bee and red Empty chiasa;; post three

Post  red; Fri Dec 05, 2014 12:43 am

Chiasa watched the small fight - if one could even call it that - between her uncle and the vampire. It was obvious to her that her uncle had no intention of backing down to the vampire, and that the alcohol was getting in the way of his logical reasoning. Anyone would know that, in such a situation, it was the vampire who had the upper hand, even if he had only just awaken from his apparent slumber. A true vampire hunter would have been able to put up a better fight, to get out of this situation perhaps, but her uncle was no worthy hunter and his drunk disposition would be his downfall, it seemed. Arata sneered at the vampire indignantly, stubbornly. His gun was gone, but he still struggled to get loose. What was he thinking he could even do? It would be impossible for him to hold his own in a fight against a vampire like this, and yet he still thought he had a chance? That wasn't even heroic, it was just completely pathetic given the circumstance.
But despite all this, it still surprised and even startled Chiasa a little to watch the vampire snap the neck of her uncle, ending his life quickly. The terrible expression Arata had once wore slacked and his face loosened from tension as the life drained from his eyes and his neck relaxed, his head lolling backwards in death. Chi watched her uncle's entire body seem to just give up, all the muscles giving as his heart stopped pumping and his brain stopped working: this was truly death. Chiasa was again torn between feeling relief and worry at the death of the uncle who had turned on her.
Looking up at the vampire as he approached. Chiasa pressed herself back against the wall a little bit, her shoulders tensing when he grabbed her arm, waiting to see if he would go after the blood. The young girl had already deduced that it was her own blood which had awakened him in the first place, so perhaps it was that very same blood he was after right now.
Biting the inside of her cheek, Chiasa tried not to cry out as the vampire extracted the bullet from her arm, but a small yelp escaped her lips all the same at the sharp pain, which ceased quickly afterwards. Chi watched further as the vampire removed his tattered shirt to wrap it around her arm and secure pressure to the wound. Her breathing had calmed a bit, but it was obvious she was still nervous, still wary of her current predicament.
"I'm fine..." She answered quietly. Her arm was the only wound she had suffered, though her legs felt like jelly from all the running and then the fear of this whole dreadful event. But her attention was not on that right now. Curiosity had gotten the better of her, and so Chiasa asked, "Who are you? What is your name, vampire?"

Post  queen bee. Fri Dec 05, 2014 6:46 am

"If I was going to hurt you, I would have not helped you." Tadaki murmured in a slightly irritated tone as fingers fell away from her face. He stayed there, looking at the ground for a few moments, trying to get back from a sudden black out spell that had hit him. It was a few seconds later that he dropped back weakly onto his rear end; even with the little blood he'd had, there was no energy in him. No energy or will to fight any longer. He'd saved the one who'd saved him, so his job was finished for the moment. At least, he wasn't getting up again for awhile. No matter how much anyone pestered him, because he doubted that he could actually walk at the moment without tumbling down to the ground like the drunkard he'd just killed. Tadaki nearly even crumpled into himself, but managed to hold himself up with a palm on the ground, his head drooped slightly, chin nearly resting on his chest. Though he turned enough where he could eye her out of the corner of a narrowly slitted cat eye.
He was mad at her. No, not mad. That wasn't the word for what he felt toward her at the very second. He was not good with human emotions, he'd never been. The only look on her face that he understood was the worry that etched lines next to the outer corners of her bright, young eyes. Then there was another he couldn't quite comprehend. But his own emotion, the.. the.. tolerance he had for her was not good. At least at the very moment. The irritation pounding at him egregiously. She was asking too many stupid questions, not to mention, her hesitation was flowing through some kind of connection between them and making him fidgety and not quite so sure of himself too. This was not a good thing.
"Calm down." He demanded her in an urgent and soft tone, the utter exhaustion probably adding onto the tense atmosphere of his voice. In all reality though, the vampire just wanted her to relax, so that he could too. There were so many things going through his brain at a billion miles and hour and he couldn't deal with the little things that she brought on too. All his senses, combined with hers, were dragging him down into a bottomless pit of water, that threatened to suffocate him in the deep murky blackness of it all. He needed to be able to think, and when he was surrounded by strange, new, and scary, things.. He couldn't help but sink further and further down in his slouch as his body began to shut down again, but this time instead of death, it was to rehabilitate him.. to rework an aged and half decomposed body. He did not no how much longer he would be able to stay awake, or coherent even, his eyelids already threatening to droop down to shut. The only think that kept his eyes open in fact was the girls arm, the smell of the blood that it reeked of and how it trickled down in temptation.
Tadaki looked over her slowly as he echoed her, in a sarcastic like voice, "Who are you? What is your name, vampire?" Tadaki turned his head away now, looking at the floor for a few seconds to get his line of site straight before he could pull myself to his feet again. He reached down and pulled her up too, intending to get her upstairs to the house so he could find something to put on her wound, as he knew that if he simply just left it as it was there would likely be some kind of infection in the hole. Stitches probably would have been necessary if a human saw this, he'd keep an eye on it though and keep it from getting too dangerous for her. That was only if she allowed Tadaki's care of her, and if he could find a meal of some kind, for he could fix it if something did in fact happen to her. Take for instance, if the wound did become filled with something deadly to her, his blood could provide an antibiotic for her. Though, if another human came at least the first few days he wouldn't be allowed to help her. Out of their sheer fear of him. In fact, he'd probably be killed if it was found out that he was in fact a vampire. "That's a bit personal don't you think?" Tadaski asked her in a softly sarcastic voice, his eyes closing as he turned. "Come along, I need to fix the wrap." There was a high likelihood that his shirt held thousands upon thousands of bacteria and he didn't want any little crumble of a chance that she'd get sick from him. He already had too much going against him.

He turned away then, slowly shifting between shuffling and small steps as he made his way out. Tadaki kept sight on the fact he would be safe here, he knew he was. For the day at the very least. Halfway down the hall he slowed from the speed of a turtle, so just a few steps every minute. "You may call me Hisashi." He murmured to her, looking back slightly to see if she was following and if she had a limp or something similar. There was always the probability that she had lied about the injuries, and he didn't want to see her hurt after he'd already fixed one thing. "But anyone else, Tadaki." He added softly, his gaze dropping back as he finally made it to the end of the long hallway of cells and cages. There he stopped, and looked up the stairs. Tadaki hesitated, not knowing if his body was strong enough to lynch himself up. He did it anyway, too proud to stop now; though it was not nearly rabbit going, he made it up eventually.
"You are Chiasa. And I will protect you." He promised quietly under his breath, lips flexing as he finally let his fangs loose from their hidden position up in his gums, his eyes searching for some place to sit.

one x one - queen bee and red Empty chiasa;; post four

Post  red; Fri Dec 05, 2014 7:35 am

Chiasa weighed out what the vampire said, and ultimately decided he was right. Sure, every instinct in her body that had been accumulated over the years was telling her that she shouldn't trust a vampire, but he had made a very good point. Why would he have saved her if he planned on hurting her afterwards? It didn't make any sense. If he had wanted Chiasa dead, then he could have just remained where he had been and allowed her uncle to do the job of killing her for him, easing his burden. But no, the vampire had helped her by killing her uncle for her instead. Speaking of which, Chi's gaze drifted over to her uncle's dead body, wondering how she was supposed to explain all of this to Silas once he returned. Now, the family's butler was the only person left for her that she knew, but surely he would know what to do. Silas had been with the Nakamura family for thirty years and had become more of a friend than a servant, so surely he would know what to do. Right now, Chiasa was in a bit of a conundrum and couldn't think of a good way to go about this. In her defense, she was only twelve, but she felt like she should still know how to handle a situation that involved a dormant vampire coming back from his state of unconsciousness because of her blood. After all, Chiasa's father had worked to instill every last drop of information about the vampires into his daughter's mind as he could, hoping that one day it would help her. Chi had been a diligent student, soaking up all the knowledge she could about the species of creatures that were hunted by her family. Now, the Nakamura vampire hunting organization rested solely in her hands, and to top it all off, a vampire had actually saved her. All of this jumbled together into her head and confused her, but one thing that she did know for sure is that this vampire wasn't going to hurt her and she could relax. If anything, the vampire had proven himself and would not attempt to kill her as her uncle had done.
Watching the vampire as he weakened and all but collapsed, Chiasa felt a sudden pang of worry strike through her. Was he okay? He probably needed blood, but where could she get some? Perhaps her uncle's corpse would suffice? By now the blood was well on its way to being stale, but surely it could help the vampire gain back some of his strength. It wasn't like they had bottles of blood lying around either, and the few drops of her own blood that had managed to fall on him were probably wearing off. After all, she had no idea how long this vampire had been held down here in secret, so she had no idea just how long he had gone without any nourishment. Probably an insanely long time judging by how he was weakening. Chiasa momentarily entertained the thought of giving to him her own blood, as that had been the blood which had awakened him in the first place, but the thought also kind of scared her. Being shot had hurt really badly, so being bitten might not hurt as much, but she was afraid that he might drink too much of her blood.
When the vampire told her to calm down, Chiasa realized she had been allowing her emotions to get the better of her and she had started to worry more, so she took a deep breath and sighed quietly, trying to get herself to calm down. Though she wasn't aware of the fact that her emotions were literally being channeled to him - mostly because she wasn't aware just how the bond between a human and a vampire who had been awakened by said human's blood worked - but she did see how her freaking out wouldn't help him right now. Besides, Chi felt that she needed to calm down anyway. How would her father think of her to see her worrying so much in this situation? Out of all the many things that her father had taught to her, the one thing that he had pressed the most for her to remember was that, in this world of sheep and vampires, the Nakamura family was a pack of wolves dedicated to eradicating the troublesome vampires. And now Chiasa was the last one left of the wolves, so why was she allowing her emotions to run wild and why was she allowing herself to cower? It didn't matter why, she was going to calm down and collect herself - which she did in a moment or two, focusing back on the vampire in front of her.
Narrowing her eyes a little, Chi watched the vampire as he seemed to regain a bit of his strength. As he stood up, bringing Chiasa with him, she watched him closely. She wasn't so much worried about him biting her as she was about him collapsing again. She wasn't strong enough to support him, and she definitely wouldn't be able to bring him up the stairs on her own, but she would feel bad leaving him down here again. The dungeon was cold and wasn't a pleasant place to be, and especially after he had spent so much time down here already, she'd feel terrible if she left the person who had saved her down here in the dungeon again.
At the comment about his name, she shrugged her shoulders. "No, not really," she answered. Chiasa figured that she might as well know his name, that perhaps it would be better instead of referring to him as 'vampire', and he'd probably want to know her name as well. She wondered then if he planned on leaving now, if he planned on just disappearing. Should she let him? Would that be a good idea? Though she felt gratitude to the vampire for saving her, Chiasa couldn't tell if that would be what her father would want for her to do. Besides, the vampire was really hungry, so she was unsure if he would attack people or not. He didn't seem to be like the vampires she had been told about, the ones that were so vicious and mean. Again, he had saved her, and that alone made him different from the vampires Chiasa had read about.
Looking down at her arm, Chi nodded her head. Yeah, though the shirt did serve the purpose of keeping the bleeding to a minimum - actually, Chiasa was pretty sure it had stopped bleeding by now - it definitely wouldn't help with the fight against bacteria. And if getting shot with a bullet was painful enough, getting the wound infected would hurt even more.

As they started the slow climb up the steps, Chi remained close beside the vampire in case he needed her support, to lean on her shoulder or something. Looking up at the vampire when he told her his name, Chiasa smiled a little bit and nodded her head. "Nice to meet you, Hisashi," she replied. And when they made it to the top of the steps, Chiasa found herself a little amazed when he said that he would protect her. Nodding her head a little bit, Chiasa cleared her throat. "Thank you, Hisashi, for saving me from my uncle." It went without saying that, without Hisashi, she would definitely not be breathing right now.
At the sight of his fangs, Chiasa cleared her throat nervously, rubbing the back of her neck. "I don't know what to get for you..." She admitted, looking down at her arm, biting her lip thoughtfully. "B-But... You can have some of my blood if you need it," she said, looking back at Hisashi. "Only if you don't take too much, though!" She added quickly.

A laugh echoed out of him. He couldn't help it. It was low, and deep, and deliriously fantastic. With musical qualities that stemmed far beyond his years. It was laughing at her, simply musing the fact the such a young female had simply willing offered herself up to a vampire who had once been known as the cruelest of his race. That was why he had been sent down there, to the dungeon. He'd been too cruel to let live, but too wonderful to let die either. Too easy to manipulate and tease with silly things. He was young then, when he'd first been captured. And it was before the girl had even been born, he knew because he could remember talk of her in the mansion. The wild excited talk, the way no one had ever spoken like about him, and probably never would. It was a good memory that he had chosen to remember, even if the memory was from a time they had felt the need to guard his cage, like he had been a wild animal that would break out. And if he was being honest he probably could have, but he'd been deprived of everything natural to him, and it made him weak.
With ease he bent over slightly do his big height could be more even with her childish one. He was oddly proud of the fact that she was offering this up to him. A brave little soldier even if she was only twelve years old. "You're a cute kid." He murmured softly, his eyes softening for just a moment. It was then that his decision had been set in stone. He would not leave, unless she wanted him gone. Even then, it was skeptical whether he would actually leave or not. "But just because I'm a vampire means nothing, we have control tootsie. Unlike others have told you. He stood up then, brushing over the top of her head gently, as if she was a puppy. "Something sugary, or caffine. I am fine." He trailed, sniffing out the kitchen quite literally.  "I'm not above eating rats anyways." Tadaki honestly wasn't, he would eat anything he came cross either human or alive. He did not care. Especially if it fed him. Besides, he couldn't waste time training even more of her blood than that of which that had already drained her.
"Sit still, kid, I need to fix it." He reached down, picking her up and lifting her into the kitchen counter, where he left her to go get a wet rag and some alcohol. And an orange that he raised from across the room. He stuck a slice of that in his mouth to suck on and went to work cleaning the wound. "Try not to do this again. I hate gunshot wounds. They're a pain in the ass and take a long time for mundanes to heal from." He muttered around the Orange, though h never looked at her. "Is anyone coming home for you?"

Chiasa wasn't sure whether or not his laugh, though it was indeed a lovely laugh, signaled a good or a bad thing. She wanted to make sure that he had his strength back again, especially after being trapped down there in the dungeon for so long, so if that required more of her blood to be spilled, then so be it. She felt that, as long as he didn't take too much, she could recover easily enough. Chiasa was just a child, but her health was in perfect condition, so she had no doubt in her mind that her body could recover from a rather drastic loss of blood, at least as long as it only happened this one time. This was actually the first time that Chi had ever gone through such pain and blood loss as this. Like every child her age, Chiasa had suffered many scrapes and bruises, cuts from falling or tripping, sprains and strains - all manner of small injuries that healed quickly over a short period of time. But never before had she had to endure the pain of a bullet piercing through her skin and embedding itself within her, and the feeling of a vampire's teeth puncturing her skin was also a foreign sensation to the young girl. Since she had endured the pain of the bullet, Chi felt as though she could also endure whatever pain might be present if a vampire fed off of her. And since she would be doing it for a vampire who had saved her, such as Hisashi, then it seemed to validate whatever pain might happen.
However, it seemed as though he didn't plan on drinking her blood, but was instead simply amused with the fact that she had offered it to him. Chiasa watched Hisashi with a curious expression on her face. It was true, most spun tales that revolved around vampires being uncontrollable monsters when it came to their lust for blood, but her father had occasionally reminded her that some vampires, generally the ones that were older, had more of a grasp on their cravings. Chiasa wondered how old of a vampire Hisashi was. Despite the fact that he looked young, as most vampires do, she supposed he must be one of the older vampires, as he wasn't going insane for blood, despite being left without any blood at all for so long. Again, Chi wondered how her father had managed to keep such a secret locked up within the very house that Chiasa lived in. Had her mother known about this, or had it been kept a secret from her too?
The thoughts of her parents dissipated when Hisashi brushed his hand over her head, causing her to return her gaze to him. Quietly, she followed along behind him to the kitchen, doing as she was told when she was lifted up onto the counter. The alcohol burned as it cleansed her wound, but she endured it silently. "It's not like I wanted to get shot," she replied. Getting shot was a horrible thing, but her father had explained to her that hunters often endured pains like this. Chiasa's father had bore three gunshot scars and a variety of others, and now it seemed Chi would have her own scar. "Silas, my family's butler will be home within the next two days. I wonder if he knew my father kept you down there," she answered, sounding thoughtful at the end.

- time skip -

Blue eyes the color of the clearest ocean blinked open, covered in shadows. Beneath a heavy blanket, a slender form sat up in the bed. Blonde hair the color of the sun was tousled by sleep, a strand hanging down in front of the girl's face. Quietly, she pushed the blankets from her body and got out of the bed. Chiasa, now nineteen, had only gotten roughly five hours of sleep, but that was enough for her. At least for right now. She had things to attend to, so sleep was of her least concern. Even so, she stumbled a little as she headed towards the bathroom that branched off of her bedroom, wanting a shower. Hopefully, the water would help to wash away the sleep that still clung to her body and would serve to wake her up more fully.
Within a short expanse of time, about half an hour, Chi was again stepping out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel. This time, her blue eyes were definitely more awake, her hair still damp and combed out. Walking to her dresser, Chiasa brought out a change of clothing and took them over to the bed. Quickly changing into the clothes, Chi went on to grab her katana from beside her bed, strapping it to her back over her jacket. A gun out of the bedside table drawer was placed in its holster and put around her waist. Once her shoes were on, Chiasa took a breath and stepped out the door of her bedroom into the large hallway.

Tadaki went to wrapping the wound with the soft white cotton strip of cloth he'd found in the medical kit, having abandoned cleaning it once he determined that it was infectionless. He still however sucked on the orange for the mere fact it was a distraction from speaking, and he loved oranges. In fact, he usually ate them like any normal person would chew on chocolate or a candy cane. It was something from his childhood, before he'd been turned that had stuck with him. They'd lived by an orchard and this orchard he worked at, so he was allowed as many oranges as he could eat.. and eventually he'd groan an affinity for them. There was also the fact he was working in such close supply with her blood, and he didn't just want to jump on her all of the sudden without giving her any warning- and he would, if he didn't keep himself distracted -even if she had told him that it would be alright for him to take it. "Just don't whine to me when it hurts." He muttered to her around the flesh of the fruit. If Tadaki was being honest though, he loved taking care of little people like her age, simply because they thought they were so tough and when they realized they weren't he could be there to fix it. He was a kiss ass, maybe, but he didn't care. He liked being needed by someone. If anything, he could help her keep from having this done to her again.
"I wasn't always dead." He commented softly, his eyes drifting over to her as he tied the knot against her skin, securing the bandaging against her wound. Tadaki made sure it was tight enough to stay on and keep it from bleeding before he sucked down the orange, turning around and setting the back of his hips against the counter beside her. "He mostly saved me from where i'd been before, but of course, like any hunter would have, there had been torture and people down there to look at me. Mostly from some sort of council. A hunting council, I guess." He relaxed slightly, his shoulders falling back slightly and his head tipping back to look at her. "There was one, i'm not sure if it's who you are talking about, that brought me food a few times.. when you had normal people down there." He shrugged, pulling her off and heading off to find something beside what he had on to wear. And a shower, a shower or a bath would be deliriously good. Then, he would disappear to go find himself something to eat- a squirrel maybe, or possibly a rabbit if he still had enough strength to catch one.

--

He waited there for her, Chiasa, just beside her door. His shoulder blades resting against the wall. Tadaki knew he schedule enough to simply know the exact time period she'd be crawling out of her room, all primped and ready to go for the day. Tadaki didn't make a habit of waiting for her like this, but he'd gone particularly long this round of missions. He missed her. Not to mention, Silas had asked them both to meet them in the study because he had some new threat to mention to them. Mostly though, he just wanted to see her. Tadaki usually didn't have such long stretches between seeing her, and he'd gotten in so late the night a few days ago, he'd not wanted to wake her.. and everytime he'd have had a chance to see her or talk to her he'd been sleeping. So, they'd virtually only passed by each other.
When the door opened, a slight smirk curled across his face, though it quickly disappeared. "After all of these years of my undying protection, you still carry a gun." He commented under his breath, tipping his head forward in a little bow- newly purple, nearly white in fact, hair falling into his eyes as he swept forward to snatch the gun from her side. He took it with him, spinning it around a finger as he headed down the hall to the study. "Silas needs us in the study, I already took your breakfast in there. So no complaining about being hungry." He told her in a demanding sort of way, even though he knew the last thing she would do would be complain because of her stomach- in fact, over the years he'd had to force fed her one or two times because she said she was too busy to eat.

Chiasa's head turned to look at Tadaki, a small smile lighting up her expression at both the sight of him and the sight of his colored hair. It seemed he enjoyed dyeing his hair different, strange colors, and she found it to be kind of amusing as well. Of course, since it had been a while since she'd seen him, she was just glad to see him again anyway. Hisashi had not only proven to be a loyal bodyguard, but a good friend to her as well, and she enjoyed having his presence close to her. Since that day so long ago, back when he'd rescued her from her crazy, drunk uncle, Chiasa had left behind any forms of doubt over having a vampire with her as her protector. Even Silas had gone with the idea, apparently being aware of Tadaki's presence in the dungeon. Once Chi had gone through and explained to the butler what had happened with her uncle, Silas had been very accepting of having a vampire in the house.
"Welcome back, Hisashi," she commented, surprise painting her face as he took the gun from its holster at her side. "Hey..." She whined quietly, eyes narrowing as a smirk crossed her face while she followed along after him. Sure, she was interested in going to see what Silas wanted to tell them, but she did want her gun back. It wasn't so much that Chi didn't trust Hisashi to protect her, but she wanted to be extra prepared. Also, and though she knew her vampire friend was readily able to take care of himself, she also carried weapons not only for her own benefit, but in the slight case that maybe she would need to defend him or anyone else she held dear.
"Sashi..." She muttered, glancing at him out of the corner of her eyes. "Give me the gun back... Please?" They were nearing the study with every step. The study had once belonged to her father before he had passed, and held things like the account books and the lists of vampires the Nakamura family had hunted down, or even vampires that proved a threat to the populace. Chi herself didn't frequently visit the study, as it held far too many memories to interest her, but Silas worked many hours in there every day, so he had sort of taken over the room at Chiasa's request. And Chi wondered what it was that Silas might want to tell them. Generally, he was the one who told them which vampire needed to be hunted down next, so she assumed it had something to do with that. Chiasa hadn't been able to go on a hunt lately due to some business matters she had to look after, so the thought was definitely appealing to her. Chi would always prefer the hunting over the paperwork and meetings that came with running a business. She found office-like work to be boring and would rather be out hunting if she had a choice. Since it was looking like this might be her first chance in a few weeks, she could vaguely feel excitement.

"Good morning to you as well, sleeping beauty." He commented over his shoulder, simply raising the gun mid twirl in recognition of her greeting. After that, he tucked it into the waistband of his pants, intending on keeping it from her for at least a little while.
Tadaki glanced over at her as he felt her eyes, but he only raised his brow at her delicate use of his name, pleading gently for her weapon back. Shashi, please. He was tempted to echo her in a playfully mocking tone, but he kept his tongue- still quite amused himself that she was using her child voice- the one he remembered from her long days as a child, wanting him to do things, like go outside and explore, that no other person on Earth could make him do -to try and make him give it up.
"Sorry, Chiasa. It's mine, forever." He told her, causally reaching over at brushing the top of her head gently, just like he'd done since the very day they had met each other. Even now, Tadaki could feel the tugging of his heart strings, her longing bleeding through to him, causing what he felt to intensify even more. This feeling was specifically why vampires in general didn't have a compulsion to be saved by a human, to be forcefully connected with one like this. It was a feeling that could so easily turn into something that always lead to the demise of both said human and the vampire that attached to each other. A feeling of love, and compassion, for someone who had caused the continuing demise of the whole vampire race. Even Tadaki, had he been given the choice of whether he wanted this, or whether he didn't, the vampire wouldn't have said yes. He would have scrambled away without even looking back on the option ever again. Even now that he was here, he wasn't sure that he liked being so devoted to someone who would leave him alone and completely heartbroken some short time in the future- even if he cared for her, physically and mentally, more than any other living and breathing being on planet Earth.
"Mhm," He finally nodded as they arrived at the study, dropping back against the left side of the door frame. "You can have it." Tadaki murmured, his finger curling around the trigger guard and he lifted it up over his head. "If you can reach it." He was already tall compared to her and his arm added on another foot for her to jump. The vampire let it dangle from a single finger, completely relaxed and waiting to see how far the human girl would go to get her weapon back- or if she would simply abandon the cause knowing he'd give it up to her willingly eventually, after he became tired of this keepaway game.

Chiasa continued to side glance Tadaki the entire time, waiting for some opportunity to swipe the gun away from him. Chi was a distinguished, skilled hunter, but when it came to Tadaki, she was nearly always kept on her toes. She blamed this on the fact that he knew her more than anyone else in the world aside from Silas. Everyone else who knew her from before she was twelve was dead, leaving only Silas and Tadaki as the only people who knew her well anymore. Not that she exactly thought this a bad thing, as she actually preferred it this. Hunters were better alone, or at least they were better without a lot of people who knew so much about them. Generally, emotional attachments were looked down upon as a cause for mistakes and heartache, so hunters veered away from it. But Chiasa, even though she could easily take on the personality of a quiet and aloof hunter, enjoyed having a few people close to her. These people were Tadaki and Silas, and with them she felt that she had enough. Silas was the truly, genuinely kind, upright uncle figure that Chi had apparently never had in her real uncle; Tadaki was her loyal protector and friend. With them, Chiasa felt like she could actually maintain this business. Despite her confidence, Chi wasn't so stupid as to think that she could, as young as she was, operate a vampire hunter organization so perfectly as she did without the help she had received.
"How rude," she responded, though her eyes hinted at a smile as she felt his hand brush over the top of her head, a familiar and comforting gesture that had stemmed from their first meeting years ago.
Upon arrival at the study, Chi lit with the hope of having her weapon returned to her, though her expression fell at the requirement. Yes, Tadaki was taller than her already, and now the extra height.... She'd have to jump or something and that would be degrading to her stature. Looking around to make sure that there was no other person nearby to see this, Chiasa looked back to Tadaki with a determined expression. Only because it was Tadaki would Chi allow herself to do something as silly as this, but had anyone else been around to witness the leader of the Nakamura organization, she surely would have just left the weapon in his care. She knew that Tadaki would undoubtedly give it back to her eventually, but Chiasa always enjoyed a challenge, and this seemed to be a perfect one for now. And, again, she hadn't seen Tadaki in a while, so she was willing to play along right now. "Fine. I'll get it back then," she responded, hopping upwards in an attempt to get her gun back, feeling her fingers brush against the metal of the gun. "Sashi...." She whined again quietly, glancing at him, a smirk slashed across her face as she stood on her tiptoes, arm extended towards the gun.

His spare fingers slunk into his pocket, his other wrist only opening up to stretch out his arm in response to her jump. "Shorty." Tadaki teased in a completely serious tone, eyebrows disappearing into his hairline as well as a gentle smile raising just the very corners of his lips. He did things like this very often, especially when she had been younger, because she'd been smaller and it had always frustrated her beyond common sense when she couldn't reach something she wanted and he was standing right there completely unwilling to help her. "You can do it." He hummed to her, his head falling back slightly, so he could rest the back of his head against the wall. To him, this was a completely submissive pose- in all reality, it was to every vampire -because his neck was completely exposed to her, as well as his stomach and chest. These were the main parts that a vampire would rip open given the chance in an attack. It was something he always automatically did around her because of the complete and utter trust that he'd been instilled with.
"I believe in you." Tadaki tried once more, slouching slightly so that he could offer her the upper hand. "One more time." He egged softly, wiggling the pistol again as he eyed the sword on her back. If she just got the pistol slow enough.. he could snatch her sword too, and that he would keep since he actually liked it.
This was one thing he'd missed about her younger self, because when she was younger he could continually do these things to her and she wouldn't care at all. In fact, she would just play along with her larger and older playmate like he was some sort of attention hogging puppy... which wasn't a very far off depiction of him when he's hyper. Now though? She was older, and she cared more. She couldn't simply blow off her reputation like she could before. Now, it was Tadaki's job to be a good little paramour to her. Be the one below when people came around. She was a mistress to him, and he accepted the fact everything naturally fell this way. It didn't honestly bother him either way. Anyone who degraded him for this was usually murdered and drained of blood if it was irritating enough. Though always under the nose of Chiasa, because he didn't want fear from her or for her not to trust him.

one x one - queen bee and red Empty chiasa;; post eight

Post  red; Sun Dec 07, 2014 8:27 am

Chiasa supposed she should have been feeling frustrated around this point, but she was having fun with it and felt rather amused by it all. Was she short? Most definitely. A gene from her mother, since her father had been tall. This shortness always seemed to be a disadvantage to her and continuously caused people to think she was inferior to them due to the difference in height; however, Chiasa didn't feel like her height was something to be ashamed of - even if she didn't particularly like it all the time - and was certainly not something to make others feel superior over her for. In this case, Chi's height was a disadvantage to her, as she couldn't reach the gun. But Tadaki's continual encouragement as he tried to get her to continue her attempts at reaching the firearm. She would, of course, because she was stubbornly adamant to retrieve it before doing anything else. The fact that Silas wanted to see them about something meant absolutely nothing right now - her attention was focused solely on that of the gun in Tadaki's hand, which would, hopefully, be returned to her soon. So Chiasa continued her attempts, no longer hopping but instead just reaching up on her tip toes as far as she could. Her eyes were narrowed slightly in an expression of determination as though she was willing herself to grow five inches taller. Sadly, no amount of thought of self-will could cause one to grow so much, and especially not in only a few seconds. So it was a lost cause concerning that, but she continued to try.
A moment or two later, an idea sprouted in her thoughts and a sly look glinted in her blue eyes. Chiasa's glance flicked from the gun in Tadaki's hand, to his face, blinking her eyes as she grinned. Placing a hand on his shoulder, she used that as support for herself to jump up higher. Finally, she managed to grab the gun from his hand and push herself back a step. "Ha!" She said victoriously as she returned the gun to its holster at her side. Feeling a surge of pride, Chiasa smirked at Tadaki. "Thank you for the game, Sashi," she commented with a nod of her head, still thoroughly amused. Turning to the door of the study, Chi opened it up and walked inside.

At the desk, stood Silas, bent slightly over an open book. With an ink pen, he scrawled down some numbers, pausing to look up as the door opened. "Finally," he said. "I wondered how long you two were going to loiter about outside the door." There was a hint of a smile on the elderly man's face as he opened up a drawer on the desk and pulled out a different book. Opening this book on top of the other one, Silas put away the pen and pointed to a tray of food on a side table a few feet away. "And I do believe that's meant for you, Chi," he added, looking back to the book in front of him as he flipped through a few pages and sat down in the seat behind him.

Playing with her was like playing with a little puppy, and he tried to give it the same meaning as if wolf siblings played with each other. Which, most of the time it did to an extent, and it was just as amusing as if he played with one. This time the game was trying to teach her how to think for herself to get something she wanted. These things he'd taught her over the years, they were important things and she just didn't realize how important they were sometimes. Or ever, really. "Took you long enough." Tadaki murmured in a gently playful tone, his chin falling back down to his chest. His eyebrows returned to their normal, half furrowed pose. If he was being honest, this was all just a big training session, and just then she'd learned how to think outside of the box. "Mhm." His head dipped in acknowledgement of her words. He really did this somewhat constantly though, so it wasn't like he found any blip in the system playing with her like this. Tadaki followed behind her like a loyal dog, though once he was inside the study he departed, and took a seat by the desk. He made him himself comfortable, one leg half curled to his chest and the other swung over the arm of the chair, a cotton leatherlike hood drooping over half of his head, as if he was some kind of hood rat.
"Eat, Chiasa. You're coming with me, and I don't like cooking.. or being near people in such close quarters as a restaurant." He motioned toward the plate, nodding for her to eat, before he turned his attention to Silas.
"Is it urgent?" Tadaki asked him automatically, eyes trailing the pages of the book as they fluttered when the book itself was set down. He was only wondered if he could relax for a few days, maybe go out riding to scout some of the unexplored territory of the property they were sitting on at that very moment. If it was then so be it, he didn't mind either way, though, it would have been nice to be able to completely relaxed like a normal human being for once, instead of live up to the horrifying name that was vampire.

Chiasa glanced over at Tadaki and shrugged her shoulders, heading over to the table and the plate of food. "Whatever you say, Sashi," she sassed in a quiet mutter under her breath. No, he was right though. She should eat and fortify herself and her energy, especially if whatever Silas had to tell them was important. Generally, there wasn't always a lot to do in the mornings, at least not any hard work, so she could usually afford to skip breakfast and actually get away with it. But since it seemed like there was a possibility of this matter being urgent, Chi knew it would be smart to eat now than to put it off and end up too tired to do anything later. The idea of running out of energy or stamina during a fight didn't sound in any way appealing to the huntress who picked up a piece of toast from the plate of food and took a bite. It would also be easier to eat here, because, as Tadaki had said, he didn't like cooking or being in such a closed in area as a restaurant. Honestly, Chi was the same way. Well, it wasn't so much that she didn't like cooking, as it was more like she just wasn't good at it. In her defense, Chiasa had never gotten the chance to play up the girly lifestyle and learn to cook amazing meals by her mother's side. Chi had been thrust into the hunter lifestyle, which often entailed scarce meals, so it only made sense really that she wasn't too good at cooking. Chiasa would love the chance to learn how to make proper meals one day, but sadly that seemed far away from the present. And as far as restaurants went, Chiasa could never feel comfortable with so many people talking and laughing, all closed in like they were sheep in a pen. It made her nervous.

While Chiasa worked on eating some, Silas looked to Tadaki and nodded. "Yes. Or rather, it depends on your definition of urgent," he answered, looking back down at his book in front of him. Flipping a page or two, he picked up an envelope which had been hidden between the pages. "I received a letter about a vampire known as Alexander," Silas went on to explain as he opened the enveloped, took out the letter, and skimmed it over a bit. "This vampire has been hopping from town to town, abducting little children and feeding on them till they're dry. The parents are obviously devastated, and Alexander has risen in class as a highly dangerous target." Glancing between Chiasa and Tadaki, Silas added, "So I figured you two would like to take on the task." Beside the small table, Chiasa took a drink of water as she focused on the words spoken by Silas on this new vampire. A smirk rose to her lips, and Chi turned her gaze to Tadaki. "What do you think, Hisashi?" She asked.

"Don't back talk me, kid." He chided her in a disgruntled tone, that wasn't really irritated in the slightest- he was just completely and utterly comfortable with her. Who wouldn't be comfortable with someone who they had known for nearly a whole decade.. especially in one of the worst - emotionally challenged - time periods of their life.. it wasn't easy to not be comfortable around either Silas, or Chiasa, but especially Chiasa.. She would be forever his favorite human. She'd in fact been his favorite human since around the time they'd first met, he'd had to warm up to her for a few weeks.. but then.. Despite this, he'd held with his tight, tense.. almost always irritated attitude until she was about fifteen, and then he didn't bother with keeping it anymore- she'd had a way of curling into all of his shields and popping them open to examine him however she wanted, even if she didn't realize what she as doing or what she'd done to him. "I'll eat you." He threatened in a mocking tone, peeking out from under the hood for a split second to make sure she was actually eating and wasn't just sitting over there. He used to tell her that when she was little, and when she was still new to him- and he to her -he could get her to do almost anything she didn't want to do, just by saying i'll eat you in a monster like tone. It amused him the same exact way every time, and usually got the job done. However, as she had gotten older the trick didn't work as well and he said it less and less frequent. He assumed it had very little, if any affect on her anymore, since she never really listened when he threatened that. Again, Tadaki was perfectly fine with that, but still thought it was pretty amusing.

As Silas talked, the good vampire listened to him. He reached forward a few seconds into the conversation to snatch the letter, his body growing increasingly still and standoffish as the butler spoke. Eventually he tuned out everyone and everything around him, even the chirping birds outside the window.
Several taken in the dead of the night from their beds, without their parents hearing they were gone until they found them gone the next morning. His eyes kept venturing up and catching that phrase. Tadaki read it over and over again, in fact; the situation sounding far too familiar and painful that his insides felt as though they were literally being ripped apart to smithereens and then burned to ashes. If anything could make him a real monster, this would be it. Immediately, he regretted wanting to take Chiasa, though he knew he couldn't back out of letting her come now, even if he wanted to. He continued reading on, Others were taken from parks, or from plazas, without the notice of their parental supervision. ----Alexander is deemed dangers. ---- He needs to be capture before more innocents fall to his evil rule over the small cities of [ wait, where is the setting? ]. He sat upright, only looking away from it when he heard his name coming from Chiasa, even then it was for a mere second before he looked away.
"We're leaving in an hour. Pack your things, i'm leaving with or without you." It was harsh. Very, very harsh. And the way he said it only intensified the coldness of his words. This was unlike any other time, ever. He was never so mean, especially to his sweet little foster girl. But he got up, dropping the letter onto Silas' desk before he snapped around and headed to go get his own things.

one x one - queen bee and red Empty chiasa;; post ten

At Tadaki's comment, Chiasa smirked wide and responded with a simple retort of  "Bite me." By now, she wasn't nearly as afraid of him saying he would eat her, not at all like how she had been when she was younger. Back then, there had always been that question in the back of her mind over whether or not he would really do it or not, which was probably why she obeyed every word then. But now she knew he wasn't really going to do it, and instead responded with the ironic retort. Even so, sometimes, just for the sake old times, Chiasa would pretend to be afraid and go do whatever he said, though she always did it with a laugh under her breath. This time just happened to work out for her since she was getting hungry anyway, so she would eat the food willingly. Picking up a slice of apple, Chiasa took a bite of it, savoring the tart flavor. The more she thought about it, this new mission, the more excited she got. The fact that a vampire was targeting children disgusted her and irritated her, and so she was more than willing to tag along. In fact, even if Tadaki hadn't already told her he would be taking her with him, she'd still go with him. It had been too long since Chi had gotten to go on a hunt, and she couldn't stand the paperwork. Chiasa was in her element when she was on a mission with Tadaki. There was no better place to be, in her opinion. The fact that Alexander went after small children would only add to the enjoyment of hunting the bastard down and stopping him. Feeding off of adults was bad enough, but children? They were innocent, young, completely undeserving of such a fate.

Tadaki's response, however, took Chi by surprise. Pausing as he grabbed the letter from Silas, both Chiasa and the butler stared at the vampire. Something had piqued his interest, clicked something in his mind. As if that hadn't been odd enough, his harsh words were even more surprising, like a cold stab of shock through her chest. Watching Tadaki with her blue eyes widened slightly, Chiasa looked over to Silas questioningly. The butler simply shrugged his shoulder and put the letter back into the envelope before hiding it in its original place between the pages of the book. The letter would be kept in with the records, as well as the result of the hunt. But that hardly mattered now, since both Chiasa and Silas was confused over Tadaki's change in behavior. Chi couldn't remember a time where he had spoken to her so harshly, and not only did it confuse and surprise her, but it hurt just the slightest bit. Whatever, she'd heal, and that wasn't even her concern at the moment. No, Chi was worried about Tadaki.
Heading out the door of the study, Chi walked fast, calling after Tadaki just once before sighing heavily and running off to her room. There was no way in hell she was going to let him leave without her on this hunt. She wanted to get this Alexander guy and lop off his head or rip his heart out slowly. Anything would do, just as long as she could avenge those poor children that he had abducted and probably killed. Chiasa could only imagine the sadness of the parents who had lost their children to the clutches of the vampires. Her eyes narrowed into a set look of determination as Chi quickly packed, moving fast as she did so, glancing at the clock every few minutes.
By the time she was ready to go and waiting, Chiasa had gone from wondering about Tadaki to thinking up brutal ways to kill the vampire Alexander, and then back again.

Tadaki heard Hali's human calling to him. Of course he did. He could hear her whimper from a nightmare in the night while she was curled up in her bed ten rooms away. If he wanted, he could probably hear hear from across the stables if she was still in her room. He would readily admit that vampire of all shapes and sizes were able to hear like high kilter wolves. However, the range that he had when it came to her was insanely wide and extensive. He wasn't sure he had ever even heard of another vampire that could hear so far. Then again, he had only ever read in story books about a vampires soul merging with a humans'. Despite this, he ignored her. Completely. He didn't even tip his head slightly. He just kept walking, not wanting to be around anyone at the moment. As he was slightly afraid that he would hurt someone if they came close. Especially her. He didn't want to hurt her. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he ever caused any kind of harm to Chiasa. Tadaki would apologize later, he honestly hadn't meant to snap at her like he had. He wouldn't help that now and he resigned to get some kind of peace offering for her. Whether that just be a verbal apology or something matieral, he didn't know. Maybe even both. He couldn't think about that right now, however. He had to think of where someone like that would hide. Where someone like Tadaki himself would hide. He couldn't forget the packing either, but he had never had much to his name so there wasn't much to shove into the saddle bag and traveling satchel like bag that hung on his back- he'd coined it back pack, and had it made specifically for him when he needed it for the missions. It even accommodated the space for the kantana, his prime fighting weapon in fact, where it normally say between his shoulders. It was perfect for carrying his stuff and was perfectly easy to pack.

By the time had struck right fifty five am in the morning, he was completely packed and ready to go. They would need the horses and he figured he would save them the trouble of having to call for their steeds by going and getting them himself. Anything to keep him distracted from the terror and certain horror he was sure he was going to come to face with. "Silas, if you need me, you know the way to find me." He called over his shoulder as he made his way to the door, and headed for the livery where they kept the paced paced animals bred specifically for hunting. They were of racing and hunting blood. The perfect riding companion for the likes of both Chiasa and Tadaki alike. He honesty loved the animals, thought they were quite magificent; since he had never seen an animal so wild that was so tame as well, or with such amazing lineage. Alas, every horse that wasn't either his or Chiasa's - the ones that had hesitantly grown trust from the working with them as foals and gradual trust building excersises - such as the carriage horses, or simply unused workers, hated him. Not was obvious which ones were which, because as soon as he stepped in some of the horses his back in the very back of their stalls, while his and her horses stuck their heads out in greeting.
Tadaki's favorite was a midnight black stallion, who was a conplete devil to anyone except his the vampire himself. His chosen rider. And he was adeptly named for it. It was almost as if they were one in the same. Their connection was one that was unmatched by any other in the barn. He knew he could trust the horse with whatever he needed, even if the horse were to run himself to death, he would do it- even if the horse occasionally threw him or stomped his foot for the simple joy of it. "Hello, Teufel." Tadaki hummed softly, popping open the door and grabbing the halter with his forefinger, doing the same with the horse across the hall which was Chiasa's favorite to ride.
From there, he saddled the pair, his own saddle back secured on Teufel, and mounted the stallion guiding them both to the front of the estate.

"Chiasa Nakamura! Outside, now!" He called out. He kept still and neither thought or said anything. Tadaki simply waited in complete and utter silence, wondering how long she would take.

one x one - queen bee and red Empty chiasa;; post eleven

Post  red; Mon Dec 08, 2014 4:49 pm

Chiasa didn't get it. She really didn't. Tadaki had just kind of... snapped when he read the letter. There was some part of it that had grabbed his attention and totally changed his demeanor. And while it wasn't strange to see him act that way towards others every now and again, it was certainly strange to see him take such a tone with her. Chiasa wasn't sure whether she should be irritated or nervous, but she found agitation creeping in on her more than anxiety. She really didn't think Tadaki would lash out and hurt her, so she saw no need to be nervous around him. But she didn't know what was wrong, and that paired with the way he had spoken to her just... well, it frankly irritated her. It was the not-knowing part that caused her the most turmoil. Thinking back to the letter, she recounted the moment that Tadaki's demeanor had snapped. Had he heard of this vampire, Alexander, before? Had he encountered him once before, and something bad happened? There were several different paths this part could take, since many different things could have happened. But whichever it was, Tadaki was obviously unhappy. Maybe, and this could just be sheer, wistful thinking, but maybe this would help fuel him as they searched for the vampire to kill him. Anger and frustration were dangerous things to feel. In fact, any sort of emotion was dangerous to feel when you're a vampire hunter, so most just turned them off as much as they could. But anger and frustration, like any other emotion, could be trained and used to increase one's ability in a fight. It was a gamble, however, because it could also serve to be nothing more than a set of stumbling blocks put there to make it harder for you. That in mind, Chiasa had faith that Tadaki would be one of those people who could use his anger to help him in a fight, but there was still that inkling of worry in the back of her mind that perhaps the emotions would get in the way on this hunt. Alexander was said to be a highly dangerous vampire, so dangerous in fact that Silas thought it would be a good idea to send out Chiasa, the lead hunter over the entire organization, and Tadaki, a highly powerful vampire.

These were the thoughts running through her head as Chi stood with her own saddle bag in her hand, and her other traveling bag slung over her shoulders carefully so as to not disturb her katana and it still be easily accessible. She was glad now that she had managed to get her gun back from Tadaki finally, and that he hadn't attempted to take her sword next. She would obviously be needing both of those on this mission. Chiasa lifted her head at the sound of Tadaki calling for her. He still sounded upset. Sighing quietly, Chi called a quick goodbye to Silas before she walked to the front of the estate where Tadaki was waiting with their horses.
Hoshi was the name of Chi's mare. Hoshi was a gray horse, but dappled with white splotches  along her sides that resembled stars - thus her name. Hoshi was a gentle horse to Chi, a good listener as well. Actually, the mare kind of reminded Chi of a dog - a huge dog that one could ride around on really fast. Much like a guard dog, however, Hoshi could turn from the gentle mare she usually was, to something wild should she fell that Chiasa was threatened. It was rather sweet of the horse, Chi thought, especially because of how easy-going Hoshi normally was. But she was fast, built lean and made for speed. Most hunter horses were. They were built to be fast, to be strong, to not cower when things got ugly. These horses were as strong as the hunters themselves, fearing not of the vampires and their fangs, and instead trusting upon their masters to see them through the fight. It was a faith that had been built into them, or more like a sense of duty to fulfill the orders given to them by their riders to the utmost point. The horses of the hunters were unlike any other horses, and especially better than the carriage or other occupational horses. Unlike most, they had seen a fair share of blood, both from their hunters and from the vampires their riders were after.
Smiling to the mare, Chiasa walked up to mare and greeted her quietly, gently rubbing her neck once or twice before attaching her saddle bag to the western-style saddle. It wasn't long after that when Chi mounted the mare, taking the reins in her hand. She hesitantly gave a side glance to Tadaki, eyes full of question. Why was he so upset? Chiasa was a naturally curious creature, but for now she would remain silent and simply let Tadaki wrap his head around whatever it was that had provoked such a reaction from him.

"I'm ready to go, Hisashi," she said. Her voice was quiet, but still spoke faintly of the irritation she felt at not knowing what was going on with Tadaki. It wasn't that she wanted to know every aspect of his life and what he did, she just wanted to know why he was so upset. What about this hunt had pulled a nerve in him? Did he really know the vampire Alexander or something?

He just waited for her, his body not calming like usual. Instead he sat up completely, his back as straight as an arrow. Even the horses could tell that something was wrong with him, specifically Teufel, who cricket hooped a few feet every few minutes he had to wait-  he could simply feel the tension readjusting down his masters fingers and through the taught leather reins that restrained him by the bit. "Settle down, horse," Tadaki urged him gently, his fingers brushing through the rough mane of the wild coltish horse before patting his neck roughly. His body relaxed somewhat eventually, for the worth of the horse only. He was still beyond stressed out about where they were about to go and who they were about to attack. Tadaki was in fact slightly terrified this would be the week that Chiasa finally learned what a true monster he could be. He wasn't afraid for himself, or for what he would physically to do her- he could restrain himself from hurting her with ease -but rather he feared emotionally scarring her beyond repair. He feared breaking the single bond that had kept him gentle so significantly long. Her trust was not simply something he had earned with a flip of the switch. He'd had to work for what they had for years upon years upon years. It was something he didn't want to do again, especially since he didn't know whether this level of companionship could ever, ever be reached again. It was something he didn't want to risk in a million years, but there was no way, he knew, that he could get her inside the house again. She was much too free spirited to stay home with something so completely adventurous for her. He knew that, and he didn't hold it against her.[ That didn't mean he didn't still want her to go back into the house again, to just stay here where he knew she was safe from everyone and everything, including his own person.
"The last attacks were in Canterbury and Charnham. Which means that he's probably heading to wingham next, or one of the surrounding towns. The rest where in similar order, following a direct path." Tadaki told her, reaching back across his back to grab a map that was hidden in the bag between his shoulders. He then opened it out across his lap, so that she could see it as well. He pointed to the names on the map, repeating what he said as he pointed to each place. They were all small town getting slowly, but progressively bigger as they went.
He's heading somewhere. He couldn't help but think as he visualized the war path across the map that the vampire Alexander was leaving behind. He is heading for someone. It was almost like he needed someone, and he was simply waiting about until he could take them. If this was the case he knew he needed to get a hold of him as soon as possible, because the longer he was kept form the prize he really wanted the more children he would take.. and the harsher he would be to the one that he actually wanted once he finally captured them. "We'll head to Wingham, and go through the Canterbury and Charnham and talk with the parents." Tadaki added as he folded the map again and put it back into it's holder before giving her horse a pat to trot as his horse moved ahead.

He ignored her tone for a good while, letting himself sit in self loathing. However, he grew tired of this eventually, and gave a slight look over at her. "What is wrong. i haven't done anything to you and yet you're angry with me." Tadaki commented, turning slightly in his saddle toward her. He honestly didn't understand. She'd never acted in such a way before, so why now?
