The year is 1858. A year of prosperity in the heart of the British empire. The many British colonies reaping in a lot of revenue, the figurehead Queen Victoria smiling and waving to her subjects, and the parliament slowly plotting the advancement of the Opium War and genocides across the globe. Anyway, it was a time of capitalistic ventures and economic prosperity, also a time for family feuds. (Not the game show.) The families of Robert Hacksveir, and Darius Willingham have been feuding for longer than no one can remember. It is clear that the Willingham family is much more wealthy, therefore holding more power in Cardigan, and much more able to convince more people to start new rivalries with the Hacksveir family. The mother and father of true Hacksveir blood wished an end to this rivalry, and presented a prize to the son of the Willingham family, Darius. They offered him the hand of their daughter in marriage, a traditional offer of these times. Darius, however, shook his head at the girl. But something else in the background caught his eye...

Robert

Robert is a soft spoken 22 year old man from Cardigan, Britain. His family is wealthy and based upon its large, industrious line of beaver skin clothing factories. Robert had his eyes on running the business himself one day, and even had ideas on expanding the company to America. This was all until Darius, son of the Willingham family chose Robert as his husband to be.

Background

Robert has lived a privileged and rather spoiled life. He has traveled far and wide, including to the new world. (United States) There Robert learned to hunt and skin beaver himself, to get a taste of the work done by people below him. While the fur was very fashionable, yet getting rarer and rarer, which meant more money for the family, at least for now. Robert was raised with a proper etiquette and enjoyed things most people his age could not. He got to steer a ship himself once across the Cardigan Bay, which ended in a shipwreck. The cost was high, but nothing his family couldn't pay for.

Skills

Robert is a very calm and collected person, and is very persuasive. This is because he would have to be if he wanted to run a company. Robert also has a great fondness in archery and the power of nature, spending many days meditating in the woods outside. There he honed his skills of archery and mastered incantations to call upon animals around him. Robert is the opposite of most people, he can be very stern and be almost a bit of an ass to people he doesn't know well. However, he is very careful and somewhat shy around people he knows well, because he is afraid of losing them.
