Literacy
This roleplay is expected to be semi-literate, so spelling and correct punctuation are a must. Length is also an important aspect in this roleplay. All I'm asking is for you to write at least six well-worded sentences per post. You are, of course, permitted to write more, but I have a set minimum. It's difficult to respond to one or two sentence posts. Of course, I understand the occasional writers' block, but I don't want things getting out of hand.

Joining
To join, please pm me to reserve your spot before posting forms. You will be using your own forms, but I'd appreciate if you could put some detail into your forms. Please make your forms look nice, pleasing to the eye. I ask that signatures are disabled when posting on this page, unless it is a tiny line of text, as mine is. You are allowed one musician and unlimited crew member positions. There is no need to keep genders even. You will post your forms on the Discussion page.

Activity
I understand that we all have lives that are more important than these forums. I have a job and am in college, so I know that it's not always possible to come online. I will give you about a week and a half to two weeks to post here, but if I feel that your priorities just aren't here (if you're on everywhere else but here for like a week), I may be inclined to ask if you are still interested or if you'd like to be deleted from the roleplay. If you still are inactive for days more, but still around, then I'll delete you so the spot can be opened up for others that might be interested in joining.

Content
Pretty much anything is allowed, although I ask that we avoid any rape situations as they may be triggering to some of our members. Drugs and alcohol are permitted here. I don't mind if people are having sex, though I don't think any of us would care to see them bopping like bunnies for pages. Actually, topics like sex, I'd prefer if you either didn't go into exact details or just PMed it out to one another. Not everyone wants to see that, and it's really not the focus of this roleplay anyway.

[ rєduх ] ✖✖✖ α вαṉḋ ɾølερlαÿ speaks for itself. This roleplay follows three bands as they tour together. The name of the roleplay is given from its definition, which relates to the story of the band Mock Soldier, one of three bands that will be roleplayed here. The story goes that during their second tour, there was an accident that left the bass guitarist and second guitarist of Mock Soldier, along with several crew members, dead, and the survivors injured. A year or so passes before the two remaining band members decide to revive the band by auditioning two new members before going into studio to record a new album. The album, of course, does well and a tour is set up to support the album's release.

Paired with Mock Soldier are the bands Passing Decade and Co-lapse. Passing Decade has quickly gained fame, going from a simple garage band posting videos on YouTube to selling over 50,000 copies of their second album. This will be their first tour ever, and they'll be headlining with Mock Soldier. While considered an honor, the question has been asked if they were intended as openers or if they are truly sharing the bill equally. This question, of course, has sparked some resentful murmurs.

The third band is Co-lapse. Like Mock Soldier, they have already toured a few times and are a fairly well-known band. They just released their fourth album, but legal troubles left the record label they were signed with bankrupt and they were dropped from the label. The record label that Mock Soldier and Passing Decade are signed to picked them up, and, last minute, added them to the Redux tour to support the new album.

Passing Decade will discover just how stressful tour life really can be, something that Mock Soldier and Co-lapse have already learned. Meanwhile, Mock Soldier have to grow accustomed to their new band members and learn to get along, or the band will fall apart permanently. Will Co-lapse be able to handle the stress of a new contract and record label or will the stress threaten to break the band apart? How will things work out? Will the bands survive Redux Tour 2015?

Mason Wells closed his eyes, one finger straying up to brush his right ear as an earbud threatened to slip out of place. He tapped a rhythm out lightly on his knee cap as light fingers ran through his hair, matching the beat of the song he listened to. Eleanor was fussing with his hair, griping about the length or something to that effect. He wasn't really paying too much attention to her administrations. She'd already attacked him with some cover-up and eyeliner, declaring that he'd have all of the ladies in the front row swooning before the end of the night. God, help him.

Eventually, she yanked his earbuds right out and ushered him off toward the bus, telling him to go get changed and find something to eat. He wasn't all that hungry, but he really didn't think that performing on stage in sweats - especially in June - would be all that comfortable. He didn't even hesitate to climb the bus stairs, apparently over his reluctance that'd been evident just two days before. Of course, he'd been leaving for tour then, and now, he was just grabbing an outfit to change into before he performed.

It took only two minutes to change, even in the cramped, undersized bathroom, even with his flailing, long limbs. He nearly cracked his head on the door panel, but he survived the ordeal and was soon scrambling outside. He had a feeling that there were fans lined up along the fences as close to the buses as possible, and he wasn't due to report to soundcheck for another hour or so.

So it was that Mason was soon crossing the yard, long legs taking him there with ease, before he hesitated, casting a glance over his shoulder. He hated to visit alone, just because things could get out of hand. Sure, he was certain security wasn't always far off, but he knew better than to go alone.

Hale Novak was losing his mind. Thanks to the last minute decision of the label, the addition of Co-lapse to the bill meant more work for him. He'd had to scramble to familiarize himself to the music of not only Passing Decade, but this other band. He'd worked with Mock Soldier since the beginning, so he knew their music. He'd had time to get to know Passing Decade because the tour had been announced a few months back. But literally, it'd only been about a month ago that he'd found out about the third band, and it'd taken a while to get the setlist that they'd be playing for the concerts.

In short, Hale had been pissed off and a little short-tempered where it concerned the third band. In his own opinion, it didn't help that the members were sharing a bus between the two that'd already been brought in. Co-lapse was expected to just mingle between the pre-designated Mock Soldier and Passing Decade buses. He was sitting in the back of the Mock Soldier bus, fingers stabbing at the keys on his laptop as he ran through his simulation again. He'd put on a theorized show thanks to a newer program that he was working with, and it allowed him to visualize what he wanted to happen and when in a song. He was pretty sure that he had it down pat, but one could never be too careful, especially where pyrotechnics were concerned.

Eleanor Novak was ecstatic. She'd just finished making Mason presentable for the fans, and was frantically seeking out her next charge. This was her first time working with bands on a tour. She'd only ever worked with makeup and hair for models, but it was the same principal, and, if anything, there was more room for error for performances. No one would notice tiny flaws tonight, but during a photoshoot, that was a different story. She'd be expected to present everyone with no flaws, only perfection.

She was, however, confident in herself. She had the best job, as far as she was concerned. Fashion and beauty were important in her eye, and she was working with three fantastic, pretty well-known bands. Nothing could go wrong for her unless she were to make blatant, very obvious mistakes, and even that could somehow be construed as art or a statement, couldn't it?

Marceline stayed quiet for most of the time, not because of nerve--well, maybe a little, but other then that, she just didn't want to seem...'pushy', and wanting to speak out to the others, which was fine with her. She was never shy around people, but still, she didn't have the worst stage fright. She was excited when she went out to stage; dancing, twirling, rocking out, and having fun. So what was the point of stage fright?
She noticed Mason leave the bathroom, but decided to stay silent, and she didn't question it. She longed to go after him and just be a tag along, but he might have wanted to be alone. She didn't mind.
Standing abruptly and popping her shoulders back, she began to trail through the tourbus, looking around at little things, and just minding her own business. But she tripped down one step, tumbling over her shoes. "Fuck--" With a groan, she tossed to the side of a chair, thankful it was there.. but she barely clung on to stop herself slipping off. "Wanker stairs." She snapped rudely. She was like that, blaming it on stairs when she tripped over. Pushing herself up and standing, she shook out both of her legs before calling it that she was fine. Tripping almost at the start of a concert.

              _________________________________________

Ryder had been lounging out in the cramped bunk-rooms of the buses, doing nothing in particular. His wrists bent back and froth and his arms flexed, showing their muscly bulges. It was only natural, after banging the shit out of drums constantly. His trusty drumstick was in his hand, a reminder of what was to come during the night. They had taken off only tow days ago, and had just reached their first destination. It was his and Mason's first time in playing in over two years. Ryder had to admit, for such a calm guy he was feeling a bit nervous. Recently, his right arm had been bothering him. In their accident, it had been crushed under some of the amps,causing major injury to the important ligament. Ever since, he'd had several surgeries and physical therapy, but nothing seemed to have worked. The longer he'd play, the more it hurt. Lately, he'd been getting through practices by sheerly gritting his teeth and willing for the pain to diminish. If sudden pain were to begin during the concert, he'd have no idea what to do. Perhaps drumming with one arm? The audience would be oblivious, only thinking he was doing some sort of trick. "Yeah," he muttered absentmindedly, his eyes staring ahead at the wall. "Yeah, that's what I'll do."

After several minutes of sitting, the young man finally felt slightly better. It wasn't really a solution to his problem, but for the moment it could be. As long as he took his pain medication, he would be fine. What about his best friend, Mason, though? He knew his friend suffered from vertigo and anxiety attacks; in fact, tow days ago he'd refused to board the bus, acting like a skittish horse boarding a trailer. Now, though, Mason got on and off with ease, and seemed slightly more relaxed. Not to mention, there was the whole screw-up with Co-Lapse, another new band. Not only did they have to share space and stage with Passing Decade, but another band got pushed onto their shoulders. Ryder was all for being friendly, yet he wasn't sure if he liked having three bands. It was to cramped, too charged, and too crazy. How on earth would it work? He knew he wasn't the only one somewhat displeased about the sudden change. Hale, their pyrotechnician, had to change much of the already preplanned show, and integrate Co-Lapse into it. His job was stressful, and Ryder was so glad he didn't have to deal with such matters himself.

He grew bored, staring at the wall and thinking of problems. Slowly, the lanky boy rose to his feet, discarding his drumstick on the bed as he did so. "Some fresh air'll be good," he muttered, continuing to talk to himself. Anything to get out of the us, before Eleanor noticed him and pulled him in for a makeup session. getting all gussied up for shows wasn't exactly his thing; if he could, Ryder would just prefer to go onstage wearing some jeans and a ratty old tee shirt. That, however, would never pass by Eleanor, the mother of their group. Eleanor was a great person, kind and loving, but Ryder was not in the mood to be fussed over. He made his way out of the bus, his hair messily swooshed just above his eyes. When emerging into the light, he squinted as the bright rays made his pupils enlarged. Once he could see again, he noticed his best friend, making his way across the parking lot. The chatter of a handful of hardcore fans could be heard, but they were being managed by security. However, it wasn't a good idea for any band member to be alone, even with heightened security. Besides, Ryder wanted to hang out with his friend, and feel like a normal person for once.

"Hey, Mason!" he called out, instinctively raising his non-injured left arm in salute. he could tell that he'd been put through a makeup session from Eleanor, the eyeliner obvious upon his skin. "So, I see Eleanor got her eyeliner on you?" he teased, giving his friend a gentle bump with his shoulder. Around most, Ryder wasn't the most talkative guy, but around his best friend he could just be himself. "Have you seen Frieda?" he asked, thinking back to their childhood friend that they'd somehow reconnected with. "I need her to check out my drums, but she's probably high as a kite," he said with a sigh, shaking his head.

It was her first official night of work, and by God Skylar was terrified. Her face was already a pasty pale, and dark circles showed underneath her eyes to contrast. Another buzz from her small, ancient flip-phone sounded, and she picked it up to read the message. It was another text from her overprotective father, wishing her good luck and at the same time commanding her to take care of herself. Going around a world tour with three big bands was a big thing, and it was a risk for her delicate health. However, it had been on the uptake, and she'd decided to risk it. The smoke from others could be a trigger for her asthma, but as long as she took her medicine and had her rescue inhaler on her, she'd be fine. Overall, she really wanted to avoid any of her embarrassing asthma attacks around the band - she'd die if that happened. a guitar was on her lap, one of Mock Soldier's abundance of instruments. Her small fingers tuned up the pegs carefully as she plucked, her hands trembling slightly. It was a good was to get her mind off of what was to come.

A sudden stumbling noise and curse dragged Skylar out of her work, startling the nervous girl so. Her head snapped up quickly, and her pale blue eyes landed on Marceline, a Mock Soldier member. They'd never talked, but Skylar already felt her concern for the girl who'd tripped. Thankfully, a chair had been there to break her fall, and Marcy was hanging precariously off the edge. She blamed the stairs, and Skylar was in no position to judge. If she'd tipped she'd probably do the same thing. She carefully placed the guitar across her couch and made her way over to Marceline. "You okay?" she asked in concern, her eyes looking wide and doe-like. "I've had trouble with those stairs too," she admitted with her characteristic shy smiles. Even though she was quite shy, she still forced herself to talk to others. After all, she'd need to if she wanted to avoid the loneliness she'd felt almost all her life.

It was only a few hours before the concert, and Frieda's mind was soaring. The roadie leaned against the makeup bus, her eyes focused on the horizon as she inhaled the smoke out of her joint, and exhaled the sweet smelling cloud of smoke. Even though it was a mere few hours before the concert, she couldn't resist a little bit of weed. It gave her a calming affect, gave her the will to work. It relaxed her, making her more sociable with others. Overall, it didn't have too bad of an effect on her, as long as she didn't smoke too much. She'd done harder drugs before, but had stayed away from them so far, as a roadie on acid could really be detrimental to the trip. She still had some things to do, but there were hours before the concert. She worked under the last-minute, time crunch situations, where everyone was scrambling. She loved to she the looks of horror and anxiety change to relief as soon as the members got situated onstage. And tonight their first night of the tour, would bring just that.

She was dressed in a lightweight, flowy white top, something that looked like it came out of the masses from Woodstock. Frieda was a hippie at heart, no matter what decade she lived in. After inhaling one last, long puff of her weed, she finally doused the small flame at the end with the edge of her sandal. God, was she a pro at that. After a few moments of standing outside, all alone, she felt like walking into the makeup section of the bus. Before she could, though, Mason exited, and walked right past her, without saying a word. "Well then," she muttered, already feeling her quick, sharp tongue activate. Even if she'd wanted to say anything, he was already gone, and by no means was she going to chase after him. With a shrug, the girl just pulled herself up onto the bus, the transportation of their adventures.

Frieda made her way into the makeup van, smelling of her marijuana that she's been smoking only moments before. Eleanor was inside, looking quite excited. Frieda was too, even though she'd done no work yet. "Hey Eleanor," she greeting leaning against a wall, crossing her arms. Frieda hadn't made any friends yet, save for Ryder and Mason, who she'd been childhood friends with. However, this wouldn't stop her talkative-self. "Just finished prepping the boys I see? What kind of eyeliner do you have in here?" she asked, making her way over to the pile of makeup. She was bold, no even waiting to be greeted back. "If you've got any extra, can I borrow some? I think some came off the corner of my left eye," she continued to ramble, wile looking at her image in the mirror. "I'm pretty excited for tonight, don't know about you," she said with a smile, her hands instinctively going to fix her hair, which had gotten tangled near the end.

{ Carolina May Sambora } { 19 } { Single } { Band: Passing Decade } { Position: Lead guitarist/backup vocalist }

Round and round we go. Sometimes it feels like we're on a roller coaster ride. Baby, don't you know? It could eat you up if you try to keep it all inside. Strumming along to the music coming through one earphone, Carolina bobbed her head to the beat. She always loved losing herself in some music before a concert. Like her uncle and father, she was what people would say "married" to it. She didn't necessarily disagree to that statement.

When people asked her what touring was like, she took both sides of what could be an argument. There was definitely some pros to touring. You get your music out there, you meet new people, see new places, you make new friends, and you have fun. Then there were the cons. Barely any time to visit landmarks, constantly changing time zones, being tired all the time, having to cancel shows when someone was sick, and really no time to rest. She was accustomed to it, though. She was just worried about her bandmates. She thought that they would be fine.

After she had finished the song, she put her guitar aside and walked into the bathroom with a change of clothes. She was never really the same as everybody else when it came to "style". She had changed into a white long-sleeve embroidered kurta, jeans, and some moccasins. Around her neck were one of her dad's cross necklaces, a peace sign necklace, and a necklace she had gotten from her mother two years before. She admitted that she had a style similar to her father's, who always wore a cross necklace to remember his religion despite his almost never going to mass. It was just what she was comfortable with.

She hopped off the bus, not wanting to stay cramped up in the confines of the couches, chairs, and bunks. She looked towards the direction of the arena and sighed. She had yet an our to do whatever before soundcheck. She hated down time. She never really knew what to do with herself during that time.

Idrian Ampora | Guitarist/backup vocals | 21 | mood; upset | tagged; Hale Novak

Idrian ran one hand through their hair as they paced back and forth down an abandoned stretch of hall way deep backstage. There had been a small group of people when the band had reached the venue, waiting to call Idrian a demon or a satanist or a girl. They hated when that happened. It was the first night of the tour, and they were poisoning it with their acid and bile. The protesters? Haters? Idrian was never sure what to call them, other than transphobic a-holes. Either way, Idrian had gone out with some security to give them witty comebacks to their signs before security had moved in. It was expected after all. Idrian hated it. Defending themselves behind a camera or a computer screen, that was one thing. But face to face? No. Some times they thought it was fitting their band was called co-lapse. They often felt like they were collapsing themselves. Checking their watch, they snarled quietly. There were still hours to go before the final show. If it had been a normal tour, with the band getting their own bus, then Idrian would have gone back to curl up on the couch and fall apart until it was time for make up and sound check and performing, but that couldn't happen on a shared bus.

Still, backstage was only allowing their thoughts to become more tangled, and so they began to back track towards the door to the outside. Might as well wait and listen to some music to recover their nerves. They distantly heard the exited chatter of fans, and looked towards the gates. There were multiple people in co-lapse merch, and Idrian toyed with the idea of going over, but decided against it. They were the new kids to the tour, and they didn't know how the fans would take the addition. Perhaps later, with Dell or Ava or Lilith. Still musing things over, they turned the corner around one of the busses, and nearly tripped over someones legs. They yelped and stumbled back, putting one hand out to steady themselves. "Oh god, I'm so sorry. I didn't think any one was here." Idrian apologized sheepishly. They blinked as they recognized the Pyrotechnician. Idrian knew that he hadn't been pleased with the last minute addition of co-lapse, and really hoped he wouldn't yell. They still were shaking from earlier and thought they might cry then.

Ava carefully worked out the knots resting in the back of her head, wincing every time strands of brown hair were pulled from her fragile scalp. "God Dammit" The petite guitarist muttered, pulling the brush through her locks one last time before placing it down on the counter. She had enough 'hair pulling' for one afternoon and felt like this could be saved for later - before the show starts. Its not like shes trying to impress anyone right now. Stepping out of the bus and walking -more like hopping- down the steps, she wandered around set, hazel eyes glued to any attractive crew member that strode on by.

Its in her nature, right? To stare at something she likes? Well, shes staring now. A small but mighty smirk appeared on her lips faster then you could say her name, which is relatively fast, before she focused her flirty gaze on something else - something that wasn't going to make her heart beat 20x faster then normal. How ever, it wasn't long after the pounding muscle slowed and she was back to her regular pale skin, no smile face.

Ava finally had enough wandering for today, and felt like she needed to do something productive. Maybe go hang out with some of the other girls? or guys? Ava clenched her teeth and looked around her - no one. Not one soul lingered in the area surrounding her lonely being. "Ugh, are you kidding me?" She groaned, throwing her head back and watching the blue sky with very little interest. Her hazel eyes narrowed to block out the suns ray's, and continued to do so until she could feel a small headache forming behind her eyes.

I s a b e l l a

M e r c h G i r l

"ARGHHH!" a muffled scream rang out from the back of a white van "BLOODY BOXES!" another flustered wail sounded out admits the sound of falling objects and what sounded like the how to train your dragon soundtrack coming from a nearby iPhone. Then as sudden as the wails, a figure appeared, stumbling backwards out of the van and drenched in white tee-shirts with logos emblazoned on them, she stood as if a bucket full of ice cold water had drenched her and she did not looked pleased about it as she ripped ( carefully ripped ) the merchandise from her and neatly placing them back into the cardboard box that had committed the crime.
From beneath the chaos, Izzy rose, her dirty blonde bun askew, vest and necklaces tangled this way and that, she looked like she'd been dragged through a bush backwards "This damn packaging is useless! Who the hell thought it'd be clever to put the extra merch right on top of the already leaning tower of fucks i do not give!" she demanded, signalling angrily towards the mess as the sheepish driver tried to hide his smirking.
Now normally, Isabella was calm and collected, organised and vaguely tired, but today had set her on edge. With the introduction of the new band onto the tour, of which she did not mind because she loved their music, it meant more merch was to be piled into the tiny van already overloaded with items, thus creating chaos and rage.

With a defeated sigh, Isabella began lugging the boxes out of the van, a tape gun strapped to her belt loops in her very worn and torn, fading black skinnies was her weapon of choice when it came to unruly, exploding boxes. With the sound of stretched and ripping tape, the box was finally fixed and tossed over to the pile ready to sell at the stand. After a few more moments of making sure the van was locked up securely, dont want any robberies now do we?, Isabella and the driver hauled the stuff over towards the stall, made up of a gazebo type thing and a table, a very, very long table. She went about neatly laying out the lanyards, bracelets and posters, before pinning and hooking up the hoodies, tees, vests and a nice looking pair of surf type shorts. After what seemed an age Izzy finally slumped down in a nearby chair, wiped her brow and stared out over the empty area and the stage, tonight was a big one, supposedly, for once she wished that to be untrue, she was knackered and couldnt give a fuck, her head felt like it was floating and she needed a good strong drink.

 ALEX PRENTICE
Passing Decade | Drummer | 19 | Tags: Frieda, Eleanor

It was safe to say that Alexander was just a loosely wrapped bundle of emotions when it came to how he felt about the concert later that evening. On the outside, Alex the prankster was grinning ear to ear, teasing all of the other performers and crew members who appeared to be anxious. However underneath the surface, the raven haired lad had a small knot forming in his stomach as he thought about all that could possibly go wrong that night. What if there was technical difficulties? What if, God forbid, someone screwed up with the lyrics or their instruments and ruin whatever song they were singing? Then the whole concert would be ruined and all those people who came to see them would be disappointed, the fans would resent the bands, and surely they would be dropped from the label. What if-

Alex attempted to shake these worried thoughts from his head. Stop it Alex, he silently thought, you're freaking out for no reason. Everything is going to go as planned. After all they had the best of the best for their stage crew. Nothing is going to go wrong, everything is going to be fine. With these optimistic thoughts in his head, Alex left the Passing Decade tour bus looking for something to make the time before the concert not drag out so long. Outfit wise, he was already ready for the concert with dark pair of ripped jeans, a maroon jacket covering an old t-shirt of his that looked "vintage" or something like that according to whoever approved his wardrobe for concerts. Whatever, it was from his closest back home in California, and that alone calmed him a bit. This whole tour was already nerve wracking, at least something that was familiar made it a bit more bearable. Also he had hanging around his neck, his lucky dogtags. Okay so maybe they didn't have any magical powers or something like that, but he always preformed wearing them. On one side he had the Passing Decade logo and on the other had a few lines from one of the groups first songs etched into the metal. His little brother had got it for Alex's birthday not too long after he and his friends started Passing Decade. It was just something that showed Alex had put his head, heart, and soul into the band. After all why else would the nineteen year old wear it everywhere he went.

He made his way towards where he knew what he liked to call the Grub Truck was with actual food waiting for the bands and crew was waiting, however he did get momentarily sidetracked as he passed the makeup area and heard a somewhat familiar voice waft out of the trailer. It was Frieda, the tour's drum tech. Alex realized that the best way to get him pumped for the concert and calm his nerves at the same time was to do what he always did best. Smash those drumheads. However he had to make sure that he technically could before sound check since he didn't have a spare drumkit on the tour bus since there wasn't any space there. So Alex was going to have to do the one thing he swore he would never do willingly, go into the makeup trailer. It wouldn't be that bad though, just as long he got the okay from Frieda so he wouldn't be yelled at later and get out of there before he could be shoved into one of the chairs. So with a little pep in his step, Alex appeared in the trailer and asked rather quickly, "Hey Frieda, is it cool if I use my drum kit before the concert? The boss would have a fit if I didn't okay it with you first." As he stood there in the trailer, Alex soon found another reason as to why he wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. The smell of smoke and drugs was clinging to the band tech, and his nose wrinkled as an instinctive reaction. The nineteen year old was a part of the rare group of teenagers that didn't see any appeal in drugs. None in the slightest bit. Maybe it was that during his high school years he was far more concerned with passing his classes so he could keep his after school job and stay in the school band that he stayed away from the euphoria inducers, or maybe it was something else entirely. Who knew. Alex didn't want anything to do with it, and that was that. Not really too shocking if you thought about it, at least now PR didn't have to worry about him getting arrested anytime soon.

Dell. Co-Lapse Lead Singer

Dell was drinking some warm tea to help warm up her vocal chords, and calm her down. She was excited. Actually, she was beyond excited. She always got a bit hyper before shows and the thought of performing with two more bands was even more excited. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and held it for a moment. Focus. After several moments she forced the air to exit her lungs in a slow stream. Her dark eyes popped open. She pulled a small compact out of her back pocket and checked her make up. The cute little stylist girl had done a good job, her make up looked great! She had nervously smacked her lips until most of the lipstick was gone, she pulled her tube of red out of one more pocket and spread the make up onto her lips. With a smirk, she snapped the compact shut and sauntered out of the bus.

Razzdess. Sound Tech.

Razz yelped as she tripped over a cord, her green eyes widening as her life flashed before her eyes and the floor grew closer. She had caught herself. A small smile touched her soft pink lips as she realized how silly she was being. She gathered up the trailing loops of the thick black chord she was carrying and headed to the stage. She sat the lump of chord onto the stage and later returned with several microphones. A while later she had amps hooked up, microphones in the right places, several mic stands put together, and a sound board connected in a corner backstage. She crossed her arms and had a satisfied look on her face. She looked around for Mock Soldier members, they were first up for a sound test. She pulled a walkie talkie from her back pocket. "Mock Soldier report to stage for sound check."[/b]

Mason had missed the call for Mock Soldier to report to sound check, having already rounded the corner to where the fans milled at the gates. They were pretty loud, obviously excited to see the lead singer. He grinned and lifted a hand in greeting as he neared, but stopped when he became aware that Ryder was nearby. He absently touched toward his eye before stopping himself, lest he smudge it. Eleanor would be pissed.

"It's not like a lot of eyeliner is it? Like...on a scale of Stuart Pilkington to Pete Wentz, how bad is it?" His eyes crinkled at the corners a touch at the comparison he'd just made. "Last I saw of your drum tech was way earlier today. Haven't seen her, but she probably is off getting baked." He didn't sound pleased at the prospect. Why she'd been hired in the first place if she was going to be stoned the whole tour was beyond him. She should be clear-minded and focused on her job, especially if it was that important, which it was.

He didn't have a problem with her as a person, of course, for she was definitely quite nice, but regardless, he didn't like that she was getting high before a concert. Afterwards was fair game, as far as he was concerned. He let out a quiet sigh and turned toward the fans, moving closer to the fence for a moment, reaching a hand out to touch some of the hands poking through the fence.

There was a look of pleasant surprise on his face, as there always was, when he was near the fans. It always blew him away that these people were screaming about him, because of him. They were happy to see him. It was so different than his home life, back before he'd moved in with the West family. His own parents had mostly ignored him, unless they were upset about something.

"Anyone from the other bands nearby? I think there are a few Co-lapse fans mixed in. I see a shirt, at least. Maybe....shit...what's her name? Fuck. I can't remember her name...The short one..." Really, most of the girls were short compared to Mason, but that was only because he himself was nearly 6 feet tall. He couldn't recall the bass player's name, however. He'd seen her not too long ago, he was certain, but at the moment, her name escaped him. If he were to see Ava again, or even get some sort of hint, he'd recall, surely.

Hale continued to study his computer screen, thick eyebrows furrowed in concentration. There was a certain intensity in his gaze when he was really focused on something, such as at that present moment. He might not've noticed that Idrian had entered the back lounge of the bus, had they not spoken up. His dark eyes shot up at once, blank for a second as if he hadn't registered what they'd just said. Confusion was evident for a split second before his gaze cleared and he shrugged.

"Haven't you learned by now that there is no such thing as privacy on tour?" Despite Hale's general loathing for the added workload, Hale had no problems with Co-lapse or its members. He wouldn't have minded working with three bands if the third hadn't been literally so last-minute. He dropped his gaze back toward his laptop for a moment before frowning. "Anyway, the closest you might come to privacy when it's not a hotel night is going to be your bunk, and even that's not all that good."

He scrutinized his screen before running the program through for one of the Co-lapse songs. A sample of their music played quietly while Hale studied the screen, before tapping a key and watching as a corresponding flare of light signaled a firework. He nodded to himself and made note of the timing. Again, he glanced up and this time, squinted at Idrian. He didn't know them all that well yet, but something about their expression suggested something might be wrong. "Something wrong?"

He closed his laptop at this point, setting it aside and leaning forward a touch, suggesting that he was willing to listen to whatever they had to say. He'd been a pretty decent big brother to Eleanor, willing to listen while his sister ranted about some drama or another. Really, it'd started off with him having little choice other than to let Eleanor slowly calm down, but had eventually evolved into him responding back with his own thoughts and suggestions. Granted, he wasn't by any means good at solving problems, but sometimes it just helped for Eleanor to talk. He figured he might as well offer this same opportunity to just talk with Idrian and maybe help them feel better about whatever might be bothering them.

Eleanor was busy sorting out the make-up bags, each with their own distinct print, as well as the names of each band member in her charge written neatly across the side in black Sharpie. She hummed a Passing Decade song in a low voice, but cut off when Frieda waltzed in, reeking of marijuana. Her nose wrinkled at the heavy scent and she faced the other roadie, crossing her arms over her chest.

She wasn't overly fond of the idea of drugs, but didn't particularly care if others did it, so long as she wasn't affected in any way. Right now, however, she was taking issue. Weed reeked and the scent lingered long after. She resented Frieda at that moment for coming along to her little domain, stinking it up while she asked for her makeup.

Eleanor lifted her chin, facing the drum tech, and crossed her arms. "No, I don't have any spare eyeliner. I have what I have for each member of the band, and my own personal eyeliner." Maybe she came across as a little bitchy, but she didn't care. This carefree girl waltzed in, probably high as a kite, and began poking around at her makeup, which was strictly for the band members in her charge. She'd been completely uninvited and Eleanor, frankly, found it kind of rude.

When Alex slipped in, Eleanor immediately danced several steps toward the drummer of Passing Decade, hands immediately going to his arm, which she clung to. She attempted to tug him toward a chair. "Makeup. Sit, sit, sit!" She didn't really have much to put on, but a little coverup and some playing with his hair could go a long way. Really, she wanted to make him presentable and maybe ask him about how things were going with Hollister, since they were dating. She knew he hadn't come in for makeup, but to speak to Frieda instead, but she didn't care. He was here now and she was taking advantage of that.

Dell. Co-Lapse Lead Singer. Single. 20.

Dell had wandered around for a while before ending up in front of Isabell's merchandise table. She looked at the girl and gave a sympathetic smile. She then looked around and the jungle of band logos, her eyes lighting up when she spotted the Co-Lapse one on a white t-shirt. "Hey Isabella. Your set up looks great. Could I buy two t-shirts? My mom wants me to mail some to the twins the first chance I get." She had a half smile lingering on her red lips. Her twin sisters were too young to get any meaning out of the lyrics or really care what lyrics were, but that didn't mean they couldn't wear a shirt to support their big sister. "The smallest sizes you have."

Razzdess. Sound Technician. Single. 24.

Razzdess narrowed her eyes as she spotted Mason and Ryder. "I've been calling for you guys to do a sound check for fifteen minutes!" The usually mute girl shouted as she marched towards the two men. She latched her fingers onto Ryder's shirt sleeve and turned to Mason. "Go collect the rest of your band and come to the stage for a sound check." She then rounded on Ryder. "Are you finished with everything? If so then come with me."

{ ava newton }
{ 20 years young }
{ bass guitarist/backup vocals }
{ co-lapse }
{ with the fans }
{ crush - open }
{ tagged - open }

Ava caught herself wandering again, but this time, her idea was made purely from the curiosity buried deep inside her mind. Even as a young child, no later then ten, she's always been a curious one - poking her business where it doesn't stand, or snooping for answers as to where the last cookie from the jar disappeared too. Obviously, all the little crumbs led to her jolly, old father, but he would brush off her quick lectures about sharing with a fair smile and hearty laugh. His smiles. To this very day, they remain contagious to the young guitarist - and shes glad to be the one from three of his offspring's to inherit her father, Jacob Newtons, signature wide, smug grins.

Ava continued to move towards the tall building's, tuning out the loud world around her as she searched deep inside her quiet mind for the good times spent with the direct family. There were too many to count, but the good ones really influenced her corrupted moods. She no longer felt bored and alone - but something happy burned inside her heart, and she noticed she was walking with a little hop to her step. How ever, the feeling inside burned alot brighter as she tuned the world back in, only to find a sea of over ecstatic bodys screaming Mason's name - reaching out to Ryder to grab hold of the talented drummer, and announcing Avas abrupt arrival, followed by some more synced screaming.

Her hazel eyes widened upon seeing all the fans. The brunette didn't understand how she wandered over here, Ava was positive she was moving towards the buildings - moving in the right direction. How ever being greeted with crowds upon crowds of (quite literally) crying fans, she was happy to have made that silly mistake. Maybe she didn't make the right turn, or perhaps she just wasn't paying that much attention. How ever, that doesn't matter now. Not anymore.

Slowly shuffling along the gates, Ava waved to the fans that screamed everyones names - noting how excited they are to see members of their favourite bands just 3 feet before them. The only thing standing in their way of trampling these souls is, Thankfully, a long gate and many security guards.

Usually crazy fans aren't that excited to see the bass guitarist, seeing how they're all about the cute lead singers, and rocking drummers, but this made Ava feel really good about herself. It sort of boosted her already-sky-high confidence.

"Okay!" She yelled over the screaming crowds, smiling smugly as she pulled out her phone to snap a memorable picture. "Group Selfie!" Ava turned her white iPhone on its side and held it up high in the warm air. She watched on her screen as some fans posed for the picture, while others jumped around crazily to gain her attention. Ava couldn't help but laugh as she did the peace sign, offering a closed eye smile to the camera.

With one simple tap, she snapped one of the most repeated, but absolutely amazing moments of her life to keep inside her little device. No matter how many times she goes through this, Ava will never grow tired of the faces of her fans.

As Isabella caught some rays on her little chair behind the table a voice brought her back to reality, with a stretch and a yawn her eyes focused on the figure in front of her and her jaw dropped "Oh jeez! Sure thing Dell!" she spluttered with a beaming grin, fishing around in the boxes under the table after she managed to spring from her seat, a few grunts came from her small stature as she managed to withdraw two extra small tees "I hope these are okay, they should shrink a bit in a heavy wash" Izzy stated as she layed them out neatly on the table "Thats fifteen dollars for both, and welcome to the tour" she stated with a raised brow as she bustled through the bag tied around her waist, it was full of loose change and a few notes, as well as stock check book and several un-sharpened pencils she had borrowed from Ikea before the tour set off.
As she waited for the money she grabbed a plain plastic bag to put the merch in "Also, im going to confess it now and try not to sound like an utter idiot, but I am a huge fan of Co-Lapse" a slight blush appeared on her cheeks, eyes lighting up as they do when a fan sees an idol "It is a proper honour...and I love the merch.." she trailed off with nervous laughter, rubbing the back of her head, strands of hair coming loose from the already messy bun, fingers entwining in the strands in a clockwise direction.

{ Carolina May Sambora } { 19 } { Single } { Band: Passing Decade } { Position: Lead guitarist/backup vocalist }

Carolina sighed with a smile, pushing her dad's hat further on her face. She didn't know why she liked it that low. It was just a habit of hers that she picked up from her dad. She kicked at the street, moccasins proving tough on the asphalt of the parking lot. She hadn't wondered far from the tour bus. She had her earphones in, random classic rock songs blasting through. Walk this way. Talk this way. She nodded and walked to the beat, fingering the air as if having a guitar in her hands.

To say she always had a song in her head was an understatement. Who could blame her? If she wasn't listening to music, she was listening to her father play and sing. If she wasn't doing that, she was listening to her mother sing. If not that, she was at the studio. If not, at rehearsals. It was what she had come to know. It was her life.

Altogether, her family had about two hundred guitars. Most of them were her father's. They had almost any kind of guitar you could probably mention. Most of them were antiques dating back from the 30s to the 60s. A lot of them were even signed by legends such as Jimmy Page and George Harrison. It was a pretty cool collection. And Carolina could tell you the difference between every single one since she was 6.

        ||♬Ryder West♬ || ||Age~ Twenty one|| ||Position~ Drummer || ||Tagged~ Mason, Ada, Razzdess ||  ||Feeling~ Happy, slightly embarrassed ||Location~ Outside                               ||_________________________________________

As Ryder followed Mason down the gravel path, he knew where he was headed. The excited chatter and conversation rose to a roar as Mason made his appearance. Masses of bodies were crammed into a small alleyway, craning their heads to get just a glimpse of their favorite bands. A smile broke out onto the young man's face at the sight. Fans were now frantically waving and shouting, desperate to get their attention. In most bands, it was usually just the lead singer that garnered fan's affections. While the fans loved Mason, they still found a place in their hearts for the sheepish, lanky, chestnut-haired drummer. As he waved and smiled to the fans, he was somehow able to continue his conversation with his best friend over the noise. "Hmm...," he mused, a teasing smile on his lips. "You're beyond Pete Wentz my friend. I'd say maybe Gene Simmons from Kiss? Tell Eleanor to keep up the good work," he teased, ruffling Mason's hair in a brother-like way. This earned a laugh and an 'aww' form the fans, who often liked their "Bro-mance." It was nothing like that, though. They were just great friends, no sort of romantic link whatsoever. Mason's eye-liner didn't look too bad though; in fact, it was amazing, and he knew Eleanor had put a lot of hard work into it.

A brief frown was brought upon his face as Mason had no idea where Frieda had whisked herself off to. "Shit, that's great... Baked like a cake... Well," he said with a sigh, his injured arm reflexively tensing up from slight stress,"Hopefully she'll show up soon. She promised me she only smokes weed now, none of that crazy, psychedelic acid shit she used to take." In high school, Ryder had lost touch with Frieda, but he still knew her name and whereabouts. She'd been the infamous stoner that was strung out on some heavy drugs. However, recently he knew she'd quit, for her own health benefits. She couldn't seem to drop the marijuana, though. I was none of Ryder's business, as much as he wished she'd stop. As long as she didn't interfere with the show, she could pipe her way up to any cloud she wanted. After this brief discussion, he returned his attention to the fans, signing random articles of clothing and posing in pictures with Mason. This was always his favorite part of touring, or one of them. The fans were so nice, and he couldn't believe that so many of them were so enamored with an average guy. Well, an average guy that happened to be a killer drummer.

At Mason's question of any nearby members, Ryder craned his head. "Nope, don't see anyone...," he trailed off, his eyes searching for a familiar face. However, another roar from the fans announced another presence. It was Ada, the Co-Lapse bassist, confidently walking up to the gate that barricaded the excited teenagers and young adults back. "Never mind, here comes Ada," he said with a nod, waving his uninjured left arm at the girl. "Hey Ada!" he shouted over the noise as he flashed her a smile. He was unsure of traveling with the two bands, as he didn't know any of them. Ryder was still adjusting to the changes, but he knew he needed to be friendly. She had a way with the fans as well, who were just as excited and enamored to see her. She even took a group selfie, one that Ryder was tempted to photobomb. However, the fun with the fans was soon cut to a close, as an annoyed-looked Razzdess marched her way over to the two. She crossly informed them of a soundcheck, one that Ryder had completely forgotten. "Crap, sorry about that Razzdess!" he sheepishly apologized, rubbing the back of his neck embarrassedly. It had completely slipped his mind, and he felt guilty about keeping her waiting. "See ya later guys!" he he shouted to the fans, giving them a wave. He was delighted to hear a shout back, sounding slightly disappointed, yet understanding. Razzdess had latched herself onto Ryder's shirt sleeve as she instructed the two. "Yeah, I'm done here. What do you need me to do?" he asked, hoping he could help out any way possible. "I mean, I'm not sure if Frieda has checked out my drums, but if she doesn't soon...," he trailed off, considering if he should give his drums the A-Okay. he knew that she'd set them up and tuned them earlier, but he knew how instrument tuning was apt to change. However, he stopped himself. "Never mind, I'm sure she'll get around to it."

        ||❈ Skylar Woods ❈ ||  ||Age~ 18|| ||Position~ Guitar tech ||Tagged~ Marceline|| ||Feeling~ Nervous|| ||Location~ In the buses||_________________________________________

The voice of Razzdess caught Skylar's attention. There was a routine soundcheck soon, and although she wasn't apart of the band, Skylar knew she should probably be there in case Mock Soldier had any guitar malfunctions. To be honest, Skylar was doubtful of herself and her qualifications for the band. She had never had a professional job as a guitar tech, and she was afraid she wouldn't be good enough. Although she'd had no trouble so far, she was still highly nervous and anxious about the tour. She needed to prove herself, and to show that she could be as good as they needed her to be. Even better than that. "Looks like you guys have a soundcheck...," she murmured quietly, her eyes on Marceline. "If you're alright, wanna head up together?" she suggested nervously. Skylar wasn't exactly brave enough to walk there herself, as she was still unsure of her surroundings and where to go. The girl probably wouldn't want to stoop down to Skylar's level, as she was a literal rockstar. Her eyes remained on the ground as she waited for a response, hoping she wouldn't be completely humiliated.

        ☮ Frieda Knight ☮ || ||Age~ 20||   ||Position~ Drum tech|| Tagged~ Eleanor, Alex ||Feeling~ High, happy, yet ticked off|| ||Location~ Makeup room, stage     ||_________________________________________

As Frieda examined the room, she felt the effects of the marijuana kick in. The colors were so much sharper, and the shapes so much more distinct. A light bulb was so much more than a light bulb; rather, it was composed of so many particles of light, merging together and bouncing within the glass capsule that contained them. Eleanor's response was short and quite rude, her arms crossed and nose wrinkled. Under most circumstances, the short-tempered girl would have probably reacted with another equally bitchy comment and a rude middle finger. However, the drug reeling in her brain kept her in a light, happy mood. things were funnier, and at Eleanor's rudeness, Frieda just giggled and smirked. "But isn't sharing caring? No big deal, I have my own eye-liner anyways." And it's better, she was tempted to say, but she knew it probably wouldn't be good to start off bad relations at the very beginning of the tour. So far, she didn't like Eleanor too much; she was fussy and stuck up. However, Frieda knew how to cooperate, and she wouldn't show her temperamental side. Not yet, anyways.

Alex walked in, looking happy and pleasant. Hopefully he won't be a prick..., she thought in the back of her mind, already slightly annoyed. She didn't mistake the wrinkle of his nose as he smelled the weed reeking on her clothes and the permeated scent throughout the room. Honestly, what was everyone's problem with drugs? She'd anticipated a good crowd of drug users, as most rock stars indulged in the pleasures. However, this crowd seemed wary and not interested in the substances that kept Frieda so happy. All of the great bands used drugs, from The Beatles to Fleetwood Mac, which was one of her personal favorites. Sure, the hard drugs like cocaine and heroine did take their toll, but what was wrong with a little recreational weed? It was far safer than acid or cocaine, two drugs that were prevalent in her high school life. However, she'd since stopped, and was a year clean. She had to admit, she missed them from time to time, but as she remembered some of the awful trips and hallucinations she had, she soon ceased her yearning. Pot was good enough for her.

Turns out, Alex just wanted to okay for his drums. Frieda had set them up and tuned them, which was slightly surprising. However, that was only 1 out of the 3 drums that still needed attending. "Yeah, go ahead Alex. I tuned the drum set up, but I can double check if you want. Looks like you won't be getting out of here any soon though," she pointed out, the tone of her voice even, yet sounding somewhat annoyed. If he needed to talk to her, Eleanor shouldn't have interfered. Oh well, whatever. She'd just leave them be, then. "So yeah, practice as long as you want, once you're free from the clutches of the makeup queen," she said with a little grin, and gave a curtsey. "See ya later, guys." And with that, the sassy girl left the makeup van, feeling annoyed, yet cheerful due to the copious amounts of drugs taking effect within her body. She saw several people heading into the arena for a sound check, and aptly followed. If Mock Soldier were headed up first, she'd need to get Ryder's drum set situated.

Most of the Mock Soldier members hadn't shown up yet, so Frieda took this opportunity to get started. The seats were already adjusted on the drum, so she didn't need to worry about that. She'd assembled the set earlier, and it looked to be in good shape. She made small adjustments here and there, feeling the pleasant buzz of the marijuana in every movement that she took. As soon as she'd adjusted all of the parts together, she made her way to the tuning. It was possible to tune drums, much to the surprise of the non-musical. The task was kind of a bitch to deal with, though, so with a sigh, Frieda got started. She placed her hands on the drum heads, inspecting them for any signs of damage. "Well, I guess I could put new ones on," she sighed, and began the long, tedious work. She loosened the tension rods with her drum key, and removed the old drum head. She cleaned the inside of it with a damp towel, and then started to carefully apply the new head. Surprisingly, with her small body, she was able to powerfully press the new head in, doing this about 6 times to break it in. The screws were reapplied, leaving the brand new drum heads neatly on the drum. However, this was only the first step.

She continued to tune the rest of the snares, tightening the tension rods in a diagonal pattern, and carefully and accurately tuning up to the desired pitch. after a good fifteen minutes, she'd finally finished with each piece, leaving the drum sounding in-tune and warm. She hit the snares and cymbals a few times to test it out, absorbing the sounds that was produced. Damn, things sounded so much better when one was high. With a yawn, she'd done her job and sauntered off stage, feeling satisfied. There was still the Co-lapse drum to tune, but she'd get started on that in a few minutes. The carefree, high girl leaned against the wall, bored and wishing she had a companion to highly babble with. So far, this tour was pretty damn boring.

Dell. Co-Lapse Lead Singer. Single. 20.

It was Dell's turn to blush. She fished the slightly wrinkled bills out of her pocket and handed them to Isabella before she started speaking. "Thanks! That means a lot." She said with a grin. "It's always weird hearing people say that they're fans, especially back in my home town." Dell shrugged, her crooked smile still shining brightly as she collected the bagged shirts. "And the logo is really neat, huh? I personally like Passing Decade's a bit more." She said as she looked at the other band's name on several other t-shirts. A somewhat embarrassed smile made its way onto Dell's face and she looked around before leaning towards the other girl. "Do you mind if I sign something? It's a sort of superstition thing I do before a show.... It's kinda dumb." A blush hit her face again. This girl was going to think she was crazy.

Razzdess. Sound Technician. Single. 24.

"Sorry for shouting." Razzdess mumbled as they headed inside, even though she hadn't really raised her voice. "Do you sing at all? I put new batteries in the headsets and need to start putting them on people so I don't have to worry about it later... I probably should have grabbed Mason..." She was half talking to Ryder and half talking to herself as she made mental notes. She headed to her little corner backstage where two rows of brand new head set mics were laid out. She fidgeted with small chords and mic belts of various sizes that went along with the microphones so that they could attach to the person wearing them. "If you sing at all in the song then you can wear one of these. We won't have to put a clunky microphone stand back there with your drum set, and it would pick up the drums as well as your voice. If you don't sing then I have these..." she pointed to small microphones the size of a large battery "That actually rest inside the biggest drum. I hate mic stands." She said the last part mostly to herself as she crossed her arms and waited for the drummer to reply.
