I keep reading everything in Nigel Thornberrys voice, it isnt helping, but im glad my "advice" is, i just ramble crap and hope it makes sense and this time it kinda has, which im grateful for and hope you feel better soon Roo, like seriously i know parents can be absolute fuckmunches, i rarely get on with my mother but you just plod on, blast some crappy music and dance like nobodies watching and sing to the sky cause in reality we are broken people we just need each other to duct tape us together with words and acts of kindness, and then we realise we have work the next morning and become Garfield and eat excessive amounts of food and watch shitty reality tv but we're still pretty rad about it all.

I havent yet got my ink, although i have around 8 planned already -.-

Dont take paracetamol, itll thin the blood and make it hurt a little bit more, also it will hurt i wont lie, drink lots of water before hand and a good meal and just remember to relax and talk to the tattooist, also if you need a break do tell them they wont bite. Just make sure you feel comfortable :)

Also what are you having done and where if you dont mind me asking?

No tattoos yet but I'd love to get one, too.
I want it on my side, which I understand is supposed to be a rather sensitive area but a little pain never scared me much. It'd be worth it. I experience anxiety and have had self-confidence issues most of my life. I adopted this as my own mantra. It's by a French psychologist, if memory serves correctly. Emile Coule. Can't remember where all the accent marks go.

But yeah, what SSW said is true. I've looked into it a bit. Definitely drink plenty of water, accept that it'll be painful, and take breaks if necessary. Look into the care required for tattoos after, though I'm certain that the tattoo artists will go over that with you.

OUCH, yes that will hurt but sounds amazing and itll be worth it!

Yes after care is v important, i think savalon is the best cream to help heal the ink, but id ask the artist aswell :)

ooh if we are on the subject of tattoos, I absolutely LOVE them! I am planning on getting a lot of tattoos when I am older. Most have some significant meaning to me. One tattoo I plan on getting is a semi-colon on my wrist, to show my story isn't over. As well as "not all who wander are lost" and either wanderlust or fernweh on the back of my neck.click if you want to know what Fernweh means.

that's funny, Fernweh, I wanted to get that "not all those who wander are lost" on the inside of my arm with an open vintage bird cage and a few fluttering feathers for a really long time ^^
and also that link;; my language (dutch) doesn't have the word for fernweh in our vocabulary but we do have the dutch word for heimweh, only we spell it heimwee.
same thing though c:

Yeah it is a really good quote. I have a few shirts that say the quote on them and I like to wear them whenever I can. The open bird cage idea is a cool idea my friend has a tattoo of a feather that looks like some of the pieces of it are coming off but then they turn into birds and it's pretty cool. And yeah, Fernweh is a really awesome word I love it there isnt an exact english word for it either. ^.^
