Xander didn't seem to notice there was anything wrong with what he had called the kid until he started furthering conversation about it, and the blonde was nearly tempted to laugh because he has just imagined Eve growing tits and it was absolutely horrifying. Chuckling a little despite himself, he turned the heat off on the stove and moved the pan away from it, somewhere cool to let it sit for a moment. "That is quite a relief, I don't think you'd look very pleasing as a female. You're much more beautiful now." Xander didn't mean it in any sort of way, not trying to flirt or hit on the kid, not even really trying to compliment him. Xander had grown up in the household of dirt and mud and hay, so he grew to appreciate beautiful things very easily, and had an eye for pretties.

It explained why Xander was so obsessed with brand names, and always looking his best, even if he didn't have to try hard to do so. Grabbing the pan he carried it over to the table, easily separating some into Eve's plate and then into his own, before setting the rest back near the stove so as not to have it be in the way. When he finally got to sit down and try and bite he was pleasantly surprised. Like he had assumed from look, it wasn't delicious, a little burnt, but it was edible, and had quite a nice taste. "Do you like it?" He ventured after a little while, slightly nervous.

Even could feel his cheeks violently heat up at Xander words. He thought he was beautiful? Eve wasn't use to compliments not on his appearance anyway and none that weren't a hash and done while they were in bed together. It was shocking and nice and just... Odd. But he did not persist instead opting to be quiet and just accept the compliment even if it was from his sort of fiancee.

Eve sat and ate quietly as normal until Xander asked for his opinion. Feeling relaxed and oddly ok with Xander the more honest and humorous side of his brain took over. "Well considering that I haven't thrown myself out a window and made a deranged dash toward the nearest restaurant it's clearly quite good." He let a small smile appear on his face and even spared Xander a small glance just to show he was being serious but joking at the same time. And really he had to applaud himself for that because usually he'd just nod and continue in silence.

Going back to his food Eve had a rare-moment where he decided to be talkative and honest. Glancing up at Xander still shy but brave he he risked another very small smile. "Your pretty easy to talk too you know?" He poked at his food trying to think of what to say and how. "I mean, I come from a really quiet household so most people are... Intimidating but I guess your ok, but just ok don't get too thinking I love you or anything." Eve let a teasing tone enter his voice but then lost his nerve and quickly went back to his food a shy blushing mess. God he needed to work on his social skills. Good thing he had 3 months to do so.

Xander dimpled at Eve, chuckling quietly at his joke. Though he was pleased that the kid liked what he had made, that meant it wasn't completely horrible. To him it tasted fine, but he can't recall ever having anything like it before so it was possible that it had just been him. But no, Eve liked it too. It made him happy, to have accomplished something. That was probably the first meal he had ever cooked, save breakfast type foods, and he found he quite enjoyed it. Though that could have been because Eve was in the room, and occasionally would come over and offer suggestions, or just check to make sure he hadn't cut his fingers off probably.

While Xander had been mostly raised on home cooked meals, it was all from cooks, and he always ate alone. He doesn't even think his mother knows how to cook. They were always very busy, his parents, with the horses or traveling to clinics, different things that came with being as famous as they were. For a brief moment he wonders what Eve's parents would be getting out of his and the raven's marriage. As far as he knew, the only deal was his parents got land, anything else it seemed he was carefully left in the dark about. Xander decided not to hide behind it.

Xander nods along to what Even was saying, about him being easy to talk to. It wasn't the first time he had heard that, but it still made him feel good. A lot of people were intimidated by him simply because of his last name and reputation. Which were both probably good reasons but... He laughs loudly when the kid throws his words from yesterday back in his face, about falling in love with him. "Are you saying you don't love me?" Xander sniffles, looking down at his plate and most obviously pretending to be upset about it.

Eve could not help the small snort and laugh that left his mouth. "Your right, you caught me, I'm horridly in love with you Xander." Eve added in a dramatic swoon a grin appearing on his normally emotionless face. Xander was not only easy to speak with, but apparently he was also easy to joke with. Finishing his plate Eve's smile had still yet to leave his face. He was never really allowed to joke around back home but Xander did not seem to mind it felt liberating.

Picking up the plates Eve started on the dishes, he talked with Xander awhile though it was mostly about how the blonde had kept himself up and how the copious gallons of pop probably explained the sticky-ness he'd felt when wrangling the Jockey upstairs earlier that day. After the kitchen was clean Eve headed back to the living room, he was going to watch t.v before his body eventually realized that it was time to sleep and forced him upstairs, though Eve was wondering if maybe he should pull a Xander and try and stay up all night?

Xander was starting to learn some things about little Evie. Like how, even though their backgrounds were almost outwardly identical, things affected him way differently than they did himself. Whereas his parents not wanting him to have fun and wanting him to focus on riding and his studies made him all the more desperate to get out and have fun, it seemed like Eve had succumbed to his parents, the poor kid. It showed by how expressionless he often was, and how it... seemed like he felt awkward in his own skin when he was smiling, or laughing. Xander felt bad.

He let the kid get dishes, feeling bad but really, he had cooked and if he had wanted help he could have asked. Xander would have been more than happy to do them in... tomorrow, or maybe the day after. Or never. They chatted easily, something he hadn't expected, and then he disappeared back into the living room, or so he assumed since he heard the TV come on not long later. Half of him was tempted to go after, continue talking, but they had already ended on a good note and he wanted to give the kid his space.

After awhile he decided sleep was the best idea. Even if he wasn't tired, since he'd slept most of the day, if he could at least get his schedule back on track he would be in good shape. "Night Eviekinz." He says, after poking his head into the living room on his way past, heading towards the stairs. Without thinking about how he was going to be sleeping with someone else, he started stripping the moment he walked into the room, leaving a trail of everything besides boxers on his way to the bed. Finally he climbed under the sheets and curled himself around a pillow, hoping it would suffice for his need to cuddle. Then he stared at the wall because his mind refused to shut up and let him sleep.

Even waited awhile before following the blonde lead and heading upstairs. He tried to be quiet because he thought that Xander might be asleep. Peeking into the room he did not notice Xander was still up all he noticed was the lump of blanket. And clothes? God he hoped the blonde at least had boxers... Padding softly into the room Eve headed to his side and thinking the blonde was asleep wasted no time on stripping down, he was meticulous sliding off his pants folding them and putting them aside, slipping off his baggy shirt folding it and putting it aside, socks came off last then he was going on his tippy toes to reach his pajamas, he quickly changed before ruffling his own hair and yawning.

He stretched one last time before sliding into bed being careful not to move too close to the blonde for fear of waking him somehow. After awhile he relaxed and curled up burying his face into the soft pillows and falling asleep. Though his body was still tense as a wooden board. Even in sleep it was like he could hear his parents telling him not to slouch. But eventually his body loosened and he shifted occasionally, though part of his body could seemingly feel the warmth being radiated off of his bed partner, and like a heat seeking missile he slowly began to shift his way toward the heat source.

Xander had been huffing and puffing, rolling around and throwing himself this way and that, trying to get comfortable so he could fall asleep. Nothing was working. It was during one of these little fits that he heard footsteps, and quickly he dove down and huddled in the blankets, eyes snapping shut quickly as he pretended to be asleep. He doesn't know why. What would have been the problem if he had just warned Eve he was still up so the kid didn't have a heart attack when he started moving. Instead his eyes followed him across the room, being very careful not to be caught with them open, and lo and behold the kid started stripping. Right in front of him! Well, sort of, unintentionally since he thought he was sleeping but... and it was mostly Xander's fault... He ignored his thoughts in favor of watching him climb into bed and get comfy.

Then the kid was asleep, and he was still cuddled around his pillow, burrowed in blankets, wide awake. So sue him if his eyes were drawn back to the boy, because he was a much interesting subject than his inability to sleep at the moment. He looked uncomfortable sleeping, straight as a pole, and Xander wondered how anyone could sleep like that. The blonde ended up everywhere when he slept, limbs all over the place. As if on cue the kid seemed to shift a little, maybe keeping more comfortable? Perhaps he was slipping into a deeper sleep. Until he shifted again, and he was moving closer. Xander groaned inwardly, tugging at blonde locks before closing the space between their bodies. "Fuck it." He whispered to himself, they were going to end up like this anyways. He didn't hold him, obviously, they were both guys, but he was more than comfortable flopping on his stomach next to the boy, legs that were closest together tangling, and his arm thrown across his chest. That's how he fell asleep, at least.

Even rarely slept in. His internal clock would always demand he awake at a particular time, today however was different because his internal clock did not wake up like usual. Eve was fighting with his body and brain, his body was so warm and /relaxed/ that he just wanted to stay where he was forever, his brain however demanded he wake up because he needed too. Eventually Eve won and shut off his brain deciding he was allowed to spoil himself with a few minutes more. So he happily burrowed into the pillow except... That's when he realized it wasn't a pillow.

Forcing his dark eyes to open he realized he was pressed against someone. But who? His brain seemed to shuffle about looking for an explanation when he suddenly remembered he was sharing a bed with a certain blonde, handsome, man. Immediately Eve's cheeks lit up 7 shades of red and he froze. It seemed that Eve was the one responsible for the invasion because he was the one with his face pressed into the blondes shoulder and curling up next to him like a god damn house wife.

Nervously Eve shifted away from the blonde hoping not to wake him. He managed to stealth role out of bed and he let out a small sigh of relief. Xander still seemed asleep so Eve just hoped he was. Groaning the raven haired boy decided to just take a long shower. So he quickly slid off all his clothes while padding into the bathroom and closing the door. As it turns out the shower did help take his mind off the wake-up call. Closing his eyes and tilting into the spray of warm water he realized that this wasn't going to end soon, and that he had better just start getting use to it.

It had taken him awhile, but eventually Xander did pass out and he slept peacefully the rest of the night. He didn't normally have any nightmares or anything, but his sleeping habits could get odd sometimes when he started sleeping in a new place. Fortunately the rest of him was so exhausted from staying up all the previous night that he was too tired to do much else than sleep, so there was no tossing and turning, no waking up every hour on the hour to flip on his other side and go back to sleep. Just pleasant unconsciousness for hours, which was more than he could have asked for.

The warmth that had been huddled against his side suddenly shifted, moving away, and still seventy five percent asleep Xander reached out for it, trying to drag it back. Whatever it was, it was warm and comfortable, so why was it leaving? His attempt had no success though, because all he grasped at was sheets, and his warmth was gone. There were a few minutes that passed where he might have gone back to sleep... but then he heard the shower running. Groaning unhappily, he squirmed a bit, trying to sink in to the bed. But alas, the running water reminded him of how much soda he'd drank last night.

Xander honestly didn't even think, there wasn't a second thought... or even a thought in his mind, this early in the morning. He didn't question why the shower was running, who was in there, why someone was in his room. Just pushed the door open and, really, Eve should have known to lock the door. Even if he had been awake there was a good chance he would have just walked in. But right now his thoughts were a jumbled mess of toilet, shower, sleepy, and morning breath. He decided to deal with the foremost one first, ignoring the running water behind him.

Eve was relaxing in the shower when the sound of the door closing snapped him from his calm state. Really? Was Xander really waltzing into the bathroom while he was in the shower no less. Eve quickly wrapped his arms around his body making a mental note to lock the door next time. "Uhhh Xander, why are you in the bathroom when I'm taking a shower?" Could this actually be worse then waking up next to the man? Yes it was worse, next time he might just wait until Xander woke up first so that this did not happen again. Backing further to the far side of the shower he really hoped that the blonde could not see anything through the rippled glass effect of the shower. Because unlike the blonde Eve was not particularly confident in his appearance I mean considering that he was an overly pale somewhat short guy with no muscle tone... Yeah there wasn't much to show.

Xander was in the middle of yawning when he heard a voice, and stopped with his mouth still half-open as he tried to figure out what was happening. It all clicked at once, really. The running water was the shower, and it was real. The voice was Eve's, and he was here because this was not Xander's room, this was their room. He put on a sheepish smile as he glanced over his shoulder, flashing those pearly whites as if they were going to get him out of trouble. "Uh, I think I must have slept-walk into here. Yeah, that's it." He nodded, confirming it with himself, then ran out of the bathroom.

Oops?

The blonde dropped back into bed with another groan, hitting his forehead before rolling over onto his stomach and groaning more into the pillow. It wasn't like he really cared about seeing Evie naked, or having the kid see him that way, obviously. What freaked him out was how easily it had happened, not to mention you could probably have found the exact scene that just played out in any romantic comedy, and their life right now was supposed to be neither of those. Especially not romantic! Xander groaned again.

Eve let out a sigh of relief when Xander left the bathroom. Turning off the shower he quickly slipped into a bathrobe before padding out of the bathroom back into the bedroom. Xander was laying face down and groaning which made Eve let out a giggle. "Xan, its ok I'm not mad I forgot where I was this morning also its bound to happen." He gently walked over and sat on the bed reaching out to ruffle the blondes hair comfortingly. "And hey, neither of us want to be here and its awkward but so far were making the best out of it I mean... Your not bad, I might consider you a friend and these things happen to the best of friends so cheer up ok?" He was surprised with himself for managing the pep talk this well.

Standing he stretched. "So uhhh... Bathrooms all yours ok? I'm gonna go make breakfast and we can put it all behind us!" Faking a smile he shoved all his nervous energy away for the blondes sake before he shyly left the room to get started on breakfast. He planned on making pancakes and hopefully if he drowned them in enough syrup he could drown himself and wake from this nightmare. He only hoped that Xander wasn't the type to get mad or frustrated easily because if not they were going to be in for a long ride. Also... Eve tended to cry when people raised there voice at him and that was guaranteed the last thing he wanted to do is cry in front of the blonde.

There's a giggle somewhere behind him, no doubt from Eve since he had heard the water turn off a few moments ago. At least someone was enjoying his embarrassment. Then the bed sinks lightly beside him, and he definitely didn't expect it but there the kid was, reaching out to ruffle his hair. He had kept his face pressed against the mattress and just moved his head to the side, so he could see him as he spoke. It wasn't a bad sight to wake up to, someone smiling at you, the feeling of fingers going through your hair, even if you knew the only thing they were accomplishing was to make it messier.

By the end he was smiling at the boy, eyes shut and head on his hand, propped up by his elbow on the mattress. "Right, friends. These things happen all the time to friends." He said, repeating what the kid had in his own words. It helped him believe them a little more. Before he took the last step out of the room, Xander calls his name. "Evie?.. thank you." It's a half-mumble, and he's blushing a little bit, but he had to say it. He could have taken the whole walking-in-on-you-in-the-shower much much worse than he had. Xander would even say that was a good reaction.

After a bit he got up and took a shower himself, rushing through it because he had already wasted so much time lying in bed, and he's pretty sure there's some food downstairs for him as well, at least he hopes. He's wearing a new pair of boxers and and a tee, hair wet and messy but he doesn't care. "Food?" The blonde half begged, plopping down on an island chair and letting the rest of him fall across the tables, arms and face and whatnot.

Eve was plating the pancakes when he heard Xander come in and flop down, looking over his shoulder a smile found its way onto his face. Xan was... Endearing like a puppy. But he was also handsome, really Eve did not mind the blonde he was nice so he was mildly ok with being trapped in a house for 3 months if he was stuck with Xander. "Yup! Pancakes." Quickly making them each a plate he set the pancakes down before getting the syrup from the fridge taking a spot next to Xander.

Sitting down Eve was about to eat when he remembered the daily goal. "Oh. Xander?" He waited till the blonde looked at him before swooping in for a quick kiss. "There, now we eat!" He still felt embarrassed having to kiss the blonde but he could shove it aside as just lips touching for a fraction of a second. The only time kisses became a big deal was when romance got involved. And Eve and Xander were definitely not falling into each others arms... Unless you count last night, but it had been a fluke so it was forgivable... Point is they weren't in love so he could brave brushing his lips against the blondes and then ignoring it. Drizzling some syrup onto his pancakes he eagerly begun to dig in.

Xander pretty much moaned around a mouthful of pancake, and he was pretty positive at that point that he was totally, completely in love with this kid. Or at least his cooking. And it wasn't even that hard to make breakfast but Xander is so hungry that he doesn't care, all that matters is the next mouthful that makes it to his mouth. He could still feel the kiss from a few moments ago lingering on his mouth, but he promptly ignored it, drowning himself in syrup and soda and pancakes rather. Their daily kiss wasn't fair, at least Eve was used to kissing guys but... The blonde pushed away the thought. If the raven could deal with this, so could he.

"You should cook more often," Xander finally says out loud, as he's taking his last few bites. It's not like a request or anything, nor was he trying to tell him he had to, Xan just liked his food a lot better than he liked most of his. "I'll help you out if you want." The blonde offers, even though he would probably less help and more harm. If you told him what to do with careful instructions... it was possible that it could turn out without disaster, occasionally?

Eve let out a small laugh. "I enjoy cooking so I guess I would not mind, though I would appreciate the help, but I will be training you, seriously I thought you were going to cut off a finger yesterday." Even finished eating and waited for Xander to finish his plate before taking them to the sink to clean them. He already felt that they were falling into a comfortable routine of sorts. Though he knew things were not bound to stay this simple and easy, after all nothing else had been easy so far so why would it start now?

It had been a week and a half sense the start of the the engagement 'challenge' and Eve was now comfortable saying that he and Xander were friends. For two opposites they fit together well. For the most part days were spent talking and sharing interests and over time Eve had opened up to Xander a bit more, he still had trouble making eye contact or troubles shying away but Xander was friendly and easy to warm up to. Sometimes they spent the day doing different things only meeting for meals, other times a whole day was spent together. Xander and more or less introduced Eve to gaming and although he soon learned that he had a love for horror games he loathed First Person Shooters and had actually snapped and gotten legitimately angry while playing, something that would always lead to him apologizing profusely and baking something as a peace offering for Xander. He had also proven to be a worthy opponent in Mario Kart with his favorite being Bowser.

Mornings were also going well. Eve had at first been horrified waking up curled against the blonde but soon he gave up just enjoyed the heat that he provided and after awhile waking up and going to bed next to the blonde just sort of became routine. Even the kisses lost all awkward-ness though the issue was because both parties were doing the kisses automatically it had resulted with more then one occurring during a day. Not that he was counting... Eve also took up cooking a bit more and he was indeed teaching Xander things, just basics like how to cut everything right, and how to tell the meat was done without it burning. All in all things were going well and Eve was happy, it was nice to have a friend even under such weird circumstances. The negative was the more Eve felt comfortable the more his natural quick wit and snarky sense of humor came out to play, he was mildly appalled with himself for being so sarcastic but Xander never seemed to mind.

Today however would not be going by like every other day, because today was date night. And by date night Eve meant that it was day time and they were leaving the house together. There was no dinner planned just errands. First they were stopping by Eve's favorite book store to pick up the newest book in the series he was reading, then they were going to the game shop to pick up something there and supposedly after that they might go window shopping and pick up a treat, anything to just get them out of the house. Even if the home had a field and was large it was becoming painfully small when in was all you saw for a good week and a half. Besides, the moment the term 'getting a book' got mixed in with the plan he was on board. And so now he was sitting on the couch dressed in simple but well chosen clothes waiting on Xander...

Time: ~5PM on Sunday May 24th, 2014

Xander's opinion of the kid was changing quickly. It hadn't been bad in the first place, really, but he had thought that he was going to get very bored, very quickly. Now though, things weren't that bad. Every once in awhile he even let a witty comment slip, or a bit of sarcasm would slip out here and there. It seemed like he didn't mean to, almost so much to the point where the blonde though he might have apologised, but he never minded. Rather, it made things much more interesting for him. He was glad that his Evie seemed to be opening up to him. The other morning he didn't even try to escape from bed before Xander woke up, for once. Which was nice because every time he did try to, he just succeeded in waking the blonde up a few minutes later, due to lack of warmth and cuddles. They needed to get him a body pillow.

Introducing him to video games had turned out to be more of a mistake than anything. Not because it wasn't nice having someone to play with, especially since he often won having more experience, but because he liked horror games. Xander was the king of scaredy cats, and he didn't bother trying to hide how freaked out he got while he played them. Of course, he owned a wide variety of those horrible games, but he hadn't ever played any. Recently he had taken to trying to hide behind Eve or cuddling with a blanket, so he could cover his eyes whenever something appeared out of nowhere to scare the fuck out of him.

Today was date-night. Or well, less that and more shopping, but he supposed it was the same thing anyways. And if they ended up getting hungry while they were out, he supposed they could go to dinner too. Currently he was standing in front of one of their full length mirrors, holding different shirts in front of himself trying to choose which one looked best. Xander didn't go out without looking his best, it didn't matter if his date was a guy or a girl, or if he wasn't going on a date at all. He wouldn't be caught dead looking anything but perfect. In the end he went with a nice, loose dark red button up with a black dress over it, and a pair of tight black jeans that probably looked more painted on than anything. Checking himself out one more in the mirror, he slid his family ring onto his thumb and headed downstairs.

"You ready to go, slow-poke?" Xander teased before even walking through the door, knowing full well that it was him that took at least a half-hour to get ready, and that didn't include the twenty minutes spent on his hair, even though it now looked the same as it did before. He grabbed his keys off the table whilst heading towards the door, having had his car brought here a few days ago, not willing to be chauffeured around and spied on. Soon they were in his sleek black Porsche Spyder and pulling out of the driveway, Xander looking positively pleased to be back in his baby. "You're gonna have to tell me where I'm going, I've never been to a bookstore before."

Eve let out a snort of amusement. "Figures. You know they have picture books Xander so you can always go look at those while were in there." Oh god there goes his snarky sarcasm, he needed to learn how to keep that in check. Sarcasm aside Even gave the blonde directions and then sat back enjoying the ride. He talked a little but for the most part just looked out the window excitedly. Until he saw the bookstore and then he went full out kid in a candy shop. To the point of practically dragging Xander out of his seat and into the store.

It was a surprisingly large store made up of two levels and had a very modern cafe feel. Some parts of the store had spots for sitting down and the kid's section had a full on sofa and toys... There was also an actual cafe conjoined to the store which made everything smell of hot chocolate and caffeine. Grabbing Xander's hand automatically he headed deeper into the store until they came upon the fantasy section. Much to Eve's dismay they had decided to re-organize meaning he'd have to hunt for his book. Turning to look at Xander he gave an apologetic smile. "It might take a minute? If you'd like you can stop by the cafe, they make pretty good stuff but personally I only take the hot chocolate, coffee's to bitter for my tastes." And here Eve had been showing off his 'im not a spoiled prince badge'.

Xander rolled his eyes, ready to throw back some comment about how he was perfectly capable of reading, he just didn't like to, but Eve started giving him directions and he decided it wasn't worth it. Besides, he was happy that the kid was just talking to him, he didn't want to make him feel bad and go back to the whole formal thing. It was nice when he started opening up and let his filter slip. It wasn't long before they got to the store and apparently he was taking much too long checking his hair in the mirror, because the kid was practically bouncing next to him in excitement. He had to refrain from chuckling, but as soon as his hand was grabbed inside and he was being pulled through the store he lost it, unable to stop laughing until they'd reached their destination.

"You're adorable." He said, reaching out to ruffle raven hair, until an apologetic smile got turned on him and his own fell with a groan. He listened as the kid explained it might take a little longer, and nodded at the idea of going to visit the cafe. "I'll come find you in a bit, yeah?" The blonde stuck around for a few minutes more before setting off to find the cafe again, and if he totally got lost like three times and ended up having to ask someone to show him where it was, he totally wasn't going to mention it.

He orders himself this double chocolate thing that doesn't have any actually coffee in it at all, because as much as he enjoys bouncing off walls he's pretty sure Eve would be totally embarrassed by him. Speaking of the kid, he gets him a hot chocolate as well, because he wouldn't have mentioned it if he didn't want one right? It takes him a little while to find him, but eventually he stumbles upon the kid sitting cross legged surrounded by books, and Xander can't hold back a chuckle as he drops down next to him. "Find more than one you like? Here," he offers the drink to him, sipping at his own.

Eve watched Xander go and got to hunting down his book, making a mental note to tell the blonde later that he was in fact not cute. Cute was for kittens, not for Eve. Looking through the books he ended up finding a few that were of interest to him, and a few turned into a pile, and before long he had found the book he was looking for but he supposed he ended up sitting down and getting lost in the zone. In fact he was so much in the zone that the only thing able to snap him out was Xander's voice, looking up confused he seemed to realize what was going on and blushed shyly accepting the offered drink. "Sorry I always get lost in books it seems..."

Standing he managed to sort through the pile until he had 5, which would serve to keep him occupied for a month or two. "Thank's for the hot chocolate by the way, maybe I will marry you after all, clearly you got the cute couple thing down." It was mild tease, lased with sarcasm, but a little truth in the form of the thank you. Leading the blonde back to the front of the store he set the books down in front of one of the cashiers. A man Eve knew fairly well because he'd been working there quite awhile and Eve's frequent visits made them decently acquainted. Eve immediately retreated to his shy demeanor though answering the cashiers kind questions shyly and with allot of looking away, but soon he had his books and was happy to be leaving. He had not noticed how comfortable he was around Xander compared to others, it already seemed like the blonde was finding ways past all of his defenses.

Xander smiled and chuckled, rolling his eyes at the thought of marriage. By now he had two reasons why he couldn't marry the kid, it wasn't just that he was a guy and Xander was straight, but they were becoming way too good of friends to marry each other. That would just be weird. It would be like marrying one of the guys he went clubbing with occasionally. Shaking his head to rid himself of the thought, he realises that Eve has stood up now and picked the books he wanted, and the blonde scrambled to get up as well.

At the register he practically forces the kid to let him pay, especially after realising that he knows the guy checking them out. For no particular reason he isn't happy about it, but that though disappears as they get in the car and are on their way to the game store. He was excited to get a few new titles, there were some released recently that he was looking forward too, even if he loved his old games as much as most of the new ones.

When they arrived there Xander immediately drifted to the RPG games, then FPS's. He stayed far away from anything horror-related, or even the creepy psychological games, because he already cuddled with Eve enough at night, the poor kid didn't need him wrapped around him like a fucking koala bear because he was too afraid to sleep at night.

Eve happily followed Xander into the game store and began to look around. He drifted from section to section pausing once and awhile to eye a game more closely but for the most part nothing really caught his fancy. That is until he's glancing at the horror section and see's one that looks particularly terrifying and gruesome. Picking up the game he reads over the back and decides that it sounds fun.

So he takes the game and looks over at Xander, he knew the blonde wasn't fond of horrors so he doubted he would want it but maybe... Well Xander did think he acted cute, and if he could act flirty to win men over maybe he could pull a cute act for the blonde. He decided it was worth a shot. Walking over to Xander innocently he stays quiet giving himself a moment to compose. "Hey Xan~ I know you don't like horror games but I found one I like could I buy it maybe?" He knows Xander will look up so he holds the game up close to his face and pull's out his largest most innocent puppy eyes, complete with cute shy feet shuffling and sweet pouting lips.

He could always just buy the game anyway but considering that the game room was what Eve considered to be part of Xander's territory he would appreciate the consent... Not to mention the fact that if Xan continued to pull his 'I am the man and I must pay' then Eve would really prefer the blonde be buying something he actually agreed to buy and not due to some macho man urge of self fulfillment.

Xander is still searching through games when he hears Eve approach him, his fingers moving over different titles, waiting to find one that catches his attention. It's not the most reliable way to pick out games, but the best way to save money, in his opinion. The ones with catchy titles are the shitty ones, the majority of the time. He doesn't even look at the kid until he hears the question, and slowly he turns toward him because he's using that tone of voice and that meant something had to be up, right? No one just used that tone unless they wanted something.

Every thought sort of automatically flies out of his brain the moment he meets his eyes. Then his gaze travels down, aiming on looking at what game it was, but he's sticking out his bottom his and he gets stuck there too, and there's no way the kid isn't doing this all on purpose. He groans when he sees the game, looking pained, but nods anyways. "Yeah, fine, get it. But don't expect me to be in the room when you play it." But of course he would be, because despite how much it scared him, he loved watching other people play horror games.

Eventually he picked out two or three games himself, and paid for those and whatever else Eve had found, if anything besides the horror game. Then they're on their way back to the Spyder and his stomach growls, Xander pausing to glare down at it, like it's offended him. "Are you hungry at all?" He asks after a beat, opening his car door before sliding in. Waiting until Eve was inside too, "Do you like Italian? There's a place a few minutes from here..."

Eve feels victorious when Xander agrees he's tempted to pull the traditional couple thank you kiss but he decides against it. Joking about being a couple was one thing, starting to act like one was another. He waits for Xander to finish and is happy to jump back in the car smirking at Xander's stomach. "I could eat. And I have to admit, Italian is actually a weakness of mine so lets go." He smiles at Xander though his brain drifts over the fact that this is slowly turning into more of a date then he expected... But they are friends not like the italian place is big and fancy like the ones guys take girls on when there hoping to score after the dinner, right?

Wrong. Eve looked up at the restaurant in awe, it was amazingly fancy and they were outside. This is the type of place men took woman to propose, not there guy friend on a very friendly ~~date~~ dinner. Eve feels a little intimidated by such places but he follows Xander inside grabbing onto the blonde's hand like he's scared to get lost or kidnapped. And good god the inside is even more fancy and there's a god damn water feature. Soon the host appears and is eying them up and looking at the tables available. "Table for two I assume?" And Eve notices how he eyes them so he scoots further behind Xander trying to hide from view, and oh god they were on a date? There's no way he can call it anything else at this point.

Xander is completely oblivious to what Eve is fretting over, focused on pulling out of his spot and getting to the restaurant in one piece while also speeding a little because he's starving. All he really cares about is getting food, the fact that he's taking Eve to a place he would take a girlfriend too goes straight over his head, but that's sort of expected from him by now. This was supposed to be a date anyways, right? So why did it matter if it was actually becoming one, rather than them just running for errands? Even if it had occurred to the blonde, that probably would have been his thoughts on it.

Eve seems surprised at how nice the place is, which is curious to Xander because it wasn't like his family didn't have money too, so he had to have gone to places fancier than this before. The kid grabs his hand and he lets it happen, squeezing lightly to try and be reassuring as the host appears, eyeing them in a way that makes Xander a little annoyed. "Correct, sir. Is that a problem?" He pulls Eve closer to him, lets go of his hand and wraps his arm around the smaller boys waist. The host seems embarrassed that he's basically been called out, and hurries them to their table.

Xander even pulls the chair out for his 'date'. It doesn't matter if they're really a couple or not to him, or if he isn't actually gay so it doesn't matter what people think. Eve was, or at least he was into guys, and he didn't like the idea that anyone would treat his friend differently. After sitting down himself, he gives the other boy a wink. "Did you see his face?" And he chuckles, then his stomach growls again and he blushes. Soon there's a lady that comes over with a bottle of wine, something Xan immediately accepts, having her leave the bottle.
